Alot of you people are very harsh and evil. I knew david in high school, he was the guy that made everyones day. Always working hard to make people laugh. I looked forward to most days because I knew he would be there ready to put a smile on my face. All the people that say he had it coming should be ashamed. Leppert took away some of the sunshine left in this gloomy world. And lets not forget there is a little girl without a father in her life now. How dare you people think that something as small as paying the rent would justify taking him away!!!

thank you hun, this is his sister that meant alot to read that. Yes, he always put a smile on someones face, and like his friends he lived next to, he would take the shirt off his back for you. I miss you bro. And whoever is reading, he did have the rent and the lanlord turned it down. I just wanted to tell people that read this a good memory of David, that's all. I didn't say his life was gloomy, i said this world was, and comments on this page show that fact. I didn't say I knew his family either, I just said I knew him in high school. As for the "whore" comment, you don't even know me, great show of character!

It is nice how the friends and family want to "honor" Mr. Hermann's life with past memories. It would be better to do that on a WEBSITE contributing to his memories, rather that trying to intimidate or be rude to a discussion about the actual incident.

Mr. Leppert will be judged by his peers as a grand jury should. Mr. Hermann will also be judged along with Jenn Fauver. when it is done I am sure that Mr. Hermann/Ms. Fauver will have been found to IRRESPONSIBLE and out of Control. Their actions precipitated a series of events that escalated into the use of deadly force to stop the incident.

It does not matter how "family orientated" Mr. Hermann was, at the moment in time when rational thought was required to reduce conflict, he was not thinking about family or friends or happy moments. His focus was on VIOLENCE and that has CONSEQUENCES!

Ditto for Leppert. You weren't there and neither was I. All I know is Leppert went home after questioning, not the hospital. If deadly force was needed you would think Chris would have suffered some sort of major injury. His mind set was to get his gun not get the keys in and drive off. David didn't have a weapon, which I'm sure if "his focus was on violence" he would have found one. At least Leppert gets the chance to be judged, david didn't. And I've never heard of a death sentence for assult.

Last of all, look at the forum marked RIP David Herman. People won't let him be honored in any way. So don't tell people they can't share memories about him here, and still have people trashing em there. They didn't say anything bad about leppert, just something good about david, and I'm sorry you're too bull headed to stand it.

I noticed how you like to call these people by their first names, as if they are "familiar" to you and you have a personal stake in the outcome.

It does no good to Honor Mr. Hermann by being aggressive to Mr. Leppert. You seem to have discussed the facts to length and yet you can't IMPRESS the fact of your contempt and hatred enough. That is not honoring anybody, but putting grief in a misplaced location. People will judge this incident and all the shouting and discussing you make will not change that.

The best thing you can do is design a webpage that puts photos and storylines about Mr. Hermann's life. That is a way to honor the person. Trying to show contempt and outrage only minimizes your impact to get a good message out. People won't pay attention to you.

If you are related to Mr. Hermann, then discuss the issue that violence is not a way to resolve a conflict and help his child understand that. It doesn't matter who threw the first punch, when a child wakes up at night crying for his father. It matters that a child will grow up and know that his father memory was honored instead of "fought for". Take the hatred out of the formula and show how to be a "good person".
