Talk to the citizens in Lindsay and Argyle if you want feedback on this choice of a Lone Finalist and his track record during his stints elsewhere.

Poor Mexia. We are so sorry.....

Good luck to you, you're going to need it to deal with him.

"I wish the Argyle ISD Board of Trustees the very best of luck as they search for a superintendent who is willing to work in the environment that they have created."
The cancer had to take another shot at a school who paid him 130k to check dress straps. He's taken a shot at every one of the dozens of jobs he has had in his few years. Mexia is sure to be next |
||||
HE was the one who created an unpleasant environment. Now that he is gone, the board is actually getting things done. Ceyanes once again shows his true character (Or lack of one.) as he take a final departing cheap shot at our community and our school board,knowing full well board members cannot respond. What an example of poor self control, immaturity, and bitterness. Not very Christian-like behavior, is it? Instead, he should keep his mouth shut and thank God he found another district gullable enough to hire him. Mexia - he's all yours! You can't say we didn't warn you! |

Wow, Where did you read this? This guy is nuts. |

Look on the "Honest" Argyle Blog. Right hand side of the page, third paragraph. Do it soon before the Blog removes it. http://honestargyle.blogspot.com/ I saw the quote somewhere else, but can't find the article right now. |

1 During a special called board meeting on June 18, 2008, the Mexia ISD Board of Trustees officially hired Dr. Jason Ceyanes as the Superintendent of Schools. Mexia ISD is a 3A school district with approximately 2200 students located about 35 miles east of Waco. "My family and I are very excited about the opportunity to serve Mexia ISD. I believe that my leadership style and core values are a perfect match for this community and school district. I look forward to working with the Board of Trustees in Mexia ISD to provide the very best educational opportunities for the students, parents, and community." "I wish the Argyle ISD Board of Trustees the very best of luck as they search for a superintendent who is willing to work in the environment that they have created." Here you go: Amazing. I know they do remove stuff from that site, but here it is for all to read. Shame on him. This guy I guess is blameless, right? |

3 Quote from Bob Wright, Editor, of the Mexia Daily News, June 20, 2008, referencing Jason Ceyanes. If Ceyanes is known for taking the moral high ground, his statement to the paper would have read "I wish the Argyle ISD Board of Trustees the very best of luck as they search for a superintendent." Instead Ceyanes chose to add the moral low ground to his statement---"in the environment that they have created." Argyle ISD's environment is just fine now that Ceyanes has moved on. I would have hoped that Ceyanes learned something from his time in Argyle, as well as, Lindsay ISD. Based upon his quoted statement, it appears he still blames others for the situation he found himself in. Good luck Mexia ISD. |

we need a lot more than luck with Ceyanes---he hit the ground firing personal when he got here---also is taking cheap shots @ the Mexia State School over issues with the DDDKids. Mexia State School is Mexia largest employer w/ 1800 employees.He recieves 2 million per school year to educate the DDDkids and he wants Mexia State School to provide their employees to keep his campus secure. |

1 My advice to the good folks of Mexia - cut your losses and do what you can to get rid of him. Stay on your school board members to not renew his contract - chances are good he has polarized the board as well. Now that he is gone, our district is running as smooth as silk. Sure we had to pay him to go away, but it was money well spent - even though he didn't deserve a dime of it, his firing was 100% justified. Good luck, and remember, you are fighting for your district, for your kids. |
||||
This is a very serious situation. I do hope somebody somewhere is taking notes. |

Poor Mexia
You were right! Total disaster with the hiring of Ceyanes. We are in downhill spiral! Go to www.kwtx.com and search local school district sues state Several students, faculty, parents, and citizens posting there the same kind of post that are listed here! Where's TEA? Is there not something that could protect school districts from this guy? Is there not a way to force a board president, such as Corbitt out? I heard he was the one that went against the committee's recommendation and hired him. Why should the tax payer's suffer. They are ultimately the one's that paid for a search committee only for the board president to ignore so he could hire this puppet to carry our his wishes. |

Unfortunately, we here in Argyle warned your school board about him. We sent articles of the controversity down there to you. You were warned.
Ceyanes ripped our town in two separate pieces. He pitted the christians against the 'non-christains'. Those that he viewed as christains. He never did anything that was really illegal for the TEA to do something about him. Your board is the one who continues to keep him there and you need to organize and let the school board know that you are not happy with him. That is the only way to get rid of him. Once 'his candidates' were not elected he saw the righting on the wall here. Then 'did what was best for the school district'. Yeah right! Good luck! |

1 We have watched from the sidelines as Ceyanes has run up $300,000 in attorney's fees fighting the Mexia State School on an issue that he created when he got here...then he fired two technology employees for no apparent reason (rumors in the community are that they knew about illegal goings-on in the admin building and prior administrators wanted them out), not to mention that it is totaly true that he LOVES being in the limelight and will create it if need be. My teacher friends are all very unhappy with him in charge, and he is perceived as arrogant, dishonest, and fake. God help us! At least the recent school board election shook things up a lot - hopefully the new blood there will not be so quick to bow to ceyanes' every stupid idea. I hate to think of leaving Mexia, uprooting our family, etc, but the district is going downhill fast and one more year of him could be the final nail in the coffin. Let's just buy him out and send him on his way - or even better, lets remove his credentials so he can't keep going from small town to small town, destroying schools and families in his quest for power. |
||||
What a mess. Is that man still in charge in Mexia? |

Undamfortunately!!!!! |
