Dear Sir or Madam
The Blue Island Baseball Association was created for all players to be able to participate in baseball. We want to Protect Our Nation’s Youth as they grow into young men and women and leaders of tomorrow. Blue Island Baseball Association is a community based program for everyone in the family to enjoy. We teach discipline, team work, fundamentals, and sportsmanship. We stress the importance of trying their best not only in sports but also at school and other productive activities.
The week of July 8th through July 14th, Blue Island Baseball Association will be hosting the Pony/Colt National Sectional Playoffs at Blue Island's Hart Park Stadium located on 123rd and Western Ave. It is an honor for us to be selected as a host for all the teams from different towns as they try to reach the Pony/Colt World Series. We are an all volunteer organization and we need your help in covering the costs for this special event. We are looking for your support through a monetary donation and/or also placing an ad in our Program booklet that we plan to give to all the players who participate which will include their team roster and score keeping sheets. Everyone who supports us will also be acknowledged in this program booklet
In addition to greatly benefiting Blue Island Baseball Association, you will receive positive marketing exposure within the community. Your business name, card or ad will be listed in our sponsor booklet that will be distributed to all player families and attendees also.

You may make out your donation or ad purchase with ad included to...

As President of Blue Island Baseball ASSN, I just want to say " I had the best seat in the house!" I witnessed from my wheelchair behind home plate a great semi-final game between two class act teams from West Side Rangers and Blue Island "Islanders." This game was a perfect example of why a lot of us still stay involved long after our own kids age out of Pony baseball.
It took all of 7 innings to decide the outcome of this thriller and both teams, coaches and Parents should be proud. What made it great to see is a sub player hit in the tying run in the top of the seventh and a sub player start off the rally in the bottom of the seventh. Those are memories they both won't forget.
I want to congratulate the West Side Rangers on a successful season and Blue Island is looking forward to another fun season in this league after Saturday's Championship game win or lose. Please come out and support the final game on Saturday 6/26/12 at 12:00 noon. located in Orland Hills.

I'm just curious with all the negative "threads" on this forum, how many people look at this positive "thread" and plan on supporting a Blue Island Organization that is trying it's hardest to improve year to year and provide a great experience for baseball players from age 13-18 years old. It is an honor to host a PONY national tournament for two levels 13/14 and 15/16 year olds the week of 7/9 to 7/15/12 in their quest to move on to the PONY World Series.
Thank you all!

This is a question for Phil or Rose. What has Peloquin done to promote and/or contribute to this program?

First response and already someone is deflecting their support because the Mayor isn't involved? I'm glad Phil and Rosie don't have that attitude because there would be no baseball for 13-18 yr olds let alone the honor of being selected to host not 1 but 2 National Tournaments in Blue Island. Positive things have to start somewhere and not always depending or waiting on our administration.

I will contribute what Peloquin contributes. I will match any dollar figure that Peloquin does and i will not intimidate you or your family into putting a "congress" sign in your yard.

We're talking about youth baseball that has nothing to do with politics. I wouldn't want your contribution if you're only going to base it on what someone else does or doesn't do. You'd probably expect something in return for it. Blue Island Baseball ASSN is a volunteer based program that has the players thoughts in mind. We wouldn't turn away help based on their political affiliation like you expect. It's too bad your against a baseball organization because of your political beliefs. It's actually kind of sad.

We would like to thank all the families, sponors and donators that have helped cover the cost of being selected TWO National Tournaments. As you all know it is an honor for our small league to be even considered let alone being selected. Without all the Volunteers, the businesses, our player's families and Park District this would not be able to happen. Tonight at 5:30pm starts game 1 of the week long tournament and I'd hope we have a great turn out by Blue Island to show their support of ALL the teams in our chance to showcase our league, Hart Park Stadium and City.
