http://www.theblueline.com/ I have heard a rumor that there is a fund raiser going on for the Worth Laid off Police Officers. It is nice however, with unemployment being over 10% i think there are may that can't find another job. I didn't donate and don't particularly like the idea. This month school is costing a ton of $$, water bill is up and Electric Bill has a sole purpose of reaching $250. Is this for real? or is it a rumor?

They probably have the same problem with utilities and such but without an income.

Don't they get unemployment? Can't the spouse work? Can't they find a position in another city? Is there really a fund raiser going on?

The answer to your questions are yes. If you don't agree with the fund raiser, then here is an option, DON'T GO!

One of our finest that was laid off grew up in Worth. He is a good cop. You try to live on unemployment not easy, if a group of friends want to have a fundraiser what is the big deal.

Yes, I feel bad for him. I'm also a worth resident who lost my job, who is going to help me and my children? There are a lot of people out of work, are you going to give them all money?

I would agree. Dont live in a town you can't afford. You are a civil servent. Not a businessman. My brother lost his job, his family business, house...lost it all. Will the police help me or help throw my stuff out on the curb when the sheriff comes to take my house?

They must have an income. There are many jobs that a Police Officer can do. There are some Police jobs available now. There are many with jobs that can't afford AC. I am guessing some Business is behind this ? It will make them $$ and they are somehow related. Double the profit. Save your money for your property tax bill. Help a child. Help the Elderly, hungry....The Church. Something is not right with this. Whats really going on?

My sister lives in the ridge and the police officers do a school supply drive for the kids there. I cant remember the last think worth police did for the community. Can you? Except for work and complain they aren't making enough money.

The Worth police officers had a pancake breakfast and the money was donated to the athletic association, and when Shepard high school was raising money for cancer they shaved their heads and made a donation. I am not sure if this is true but you could find out, they helped with planting day. Don't be so hard on them they are trying to be good people and help when they can.

Daily Horoscope for February 5

Aquarius

There may be a little push and pull between home and work as the Sun in your sign clashes with the Moon. Things seem a little out of joint. Uranus and Pluto are under pressure, so work or obligations may mitigate your efforts. People in the neighborhood ask a lot of you, but don't be too amenable. Know the right time to say 'no'.
