Why is the town of Woolwine raising taxes on homeowners that have owned there property for many generations? Sounds like the town is trying to steal their property to me. Are there plans from the New York assessor that the town hired to develop the land? What is the explanation? I feel that this is obscene, and very sad that these people may lose their land after all of the generations that have owned it up to now. I don't think that any of the people there can afford for the taxes to increase--most of them are elderly and poor. This is so disheartening.
