Imagine having to wait weeks to have all the goods you need in your daily delivered because there is no trucks around to haul them and that, the only mode of surface transportation left to bring those goods to you are trains. You wouldn't afford goods delivered by plane. It is expensive. You know fellow Americans, studies by independent agencies have shown that it would take the rail industry 300% more of its current capacity to get the job the trucking industry is presently doing to KEEP America going and alive. And yes you saw those signs behind on 18 wheels trailers informing you that without trucks America stops.
Trucks deliver everything. Gas, your new or used car, your clothes at the mall, your office supplies in your office, your kids toys, our national army supplies, the foods you buy, our senators and congressmen free coffee and other favors they get at tax payers expenses like the barber shop supplies at the Capitol Hill where the barber makes almost $65000 a year income more that average US household yearly income etc. Truckers work 70 hours/week to make you happy and none less, here comes the blame game. Its seems in this bridge collapse case and according to a state trooper (bear), a trucker may have hit the structure resulting in this incident. That was it.
Well we all remember the MN bridge collapse not long ago and we all learned it was deficient.
Almost all our nation transportation structures are deficient. I know it cause I go thru it days after days noticing them. I am a trucker and I deliver for America.
But folks, did you know that special interest groups are pushing hard to increase truck weight meaning that some businesses out there want the US congress to help increase the present weight limit on actual truck of 80.000 lbs to more than 96.000 lbs in some of your states. You know going from 80k to more than 96k Lbs just to cut cost, make more profit and their claim is that increase is going to help ease traffic congestion. Their formula is heavier trucks, two 53 trailers combined being pulled by one tractor = less job, less tractors on the road = less fuel taxes revenues for states = more bridge collapsing resulting in more accidents because rookies are trained in 2 weeks at a near by truck driving school (some cant speak English, wont understand road warning signs), let loose to come drive on nation highways next to you and your families while our elected leaders fly high. If you cant lift 50lbs, how could you dare try to lift 100lbs. That's the picture I can draw for you.
Yeah sending billions oversea helping nations that just don't like us while hunger, lack of job, lack of real recovery development in our nation economy are lingering and destroying what great generation of leaders and proud American workers had done to build this country.
