All I can say is CHESESTEAK SUB!!!!...my god they made the best...what a sloppy delicious mess!

Went down the road to the Hungry Piney, same side of the road, down about a 1/4 mile....decent food but not the same.

The building is still there, the bank you are referring to is Farmers and Mechanics? That was built on the grounds of the old Whispers, which is long gone.

Start this conversation back up. Anyone know anything about where the Broadway Take-out people went? They made the best food...

The old broad way take out. Wow what a memory. When I was 17 my mother would have myself and my friend walk to the take out to get her a Cheeese Steak Hogie. At the time I lived in Tailer Acres, walked down the dirt road, got to the hillo and sat on the wall for awhile, then got the hogie. What a memory.
I still see the old owner at Mc Donalds around 9:00 am, he is the older gentleman with the pony tail, and glasses. Go see him in the morning and tell him how good his sandwiches were. He would love it.

My father used to bring me there when I was a kid 6-8 all the time, the cheesesteak with lettuce, mushrooms, and mayo on perfect bread. Also with Orange Crush and TastyCake the kind with the cake, peanut-butter covered with chocolate. That was over forty years ago and I still search for a cheesesteak like that some have come close but none were as good as Broadway TakeOut

I am still searching for that Cheesesteak Hoagie taste I found it up it's Sopranos on Route 38 it was a Spanish Chef cooking there he made the Broadway takeout cheesesteaks then they said something happened to him and he was gone and that was the end of those delicious cheesesteaks somebody out there knows the secret formula one time at LaVilla and Browns mills a guy made me a Broadway take out cheesesteak I went back there after that I never got it again and the owners didn't know what he used I hope whoever finds that taste profile posted on here so we can all go and enjoy it again

I remember that place from the 80's. The best sub shop ever. I would do anything for that cheesesteak
