Yes...under canon law the pastor is responsible for closing the parish...

thank you father ed friel for closing our parishes down in salem county. it's sad enough that only 6 parishes covers 338 sqares miles of salem county and you have been sent to close us all down...your reward is australia...
personal gain is a sin...

st joes first parish area 1743 October 5,....you don't even know or care about our history and we don't pray to wooden crosses. where is the corpus christi???

you need to stop intimidating and threatning parishioners for opposing the church closure in woodstown. the truth shall set you free. under canon law we have a right to appeal..stop denying us that right we aslo have a right to a public forum in salem county just liike up north and all around diocese.

this is not a communist country and the people of salem county should be allowed to be told the truth. Canon law says that you are responsible for closing the parishes. We have just as much historical if not more then the parishes which are remaining open up north.

there will be an investigation and the truth allows comes out one way or another...the truth shall set you free..
You need to respect women too.

yes, I am. the diocese was made aware in 2001. Bishop Galante and fr. friel were advised last year by me when I begged them not to close my parish down at st joe's because it was the start of my new life as a past victim of sexual abuse by priest.
As always. there was no compassion. I was shoved under the carpet with the rest of the victims like father hayes who was sent to kentucky.

hurts and that is why father ed tears down flyers about council of parishes etc, etc and even tries to block Mr. gallo of the sunbeam from printing articles in regards to church closings. Alot of people are looking for personal gain which is a sin. Selling of church property without properly notifying parishioners is a disgrace. And the truth will come out.
If everything is being presented in an honest manner there wouldn't be a need for police presence or preventing freedom of speech
