Catholic schools have a lot to celebrate. Considering their outstanding academic performance, as well as the leadership skills, they convey, it is easy to recognize their value. In today's education world they are truly getting young people ready for the world.

Catholic schools have consistently offered a better quality education, as well as more advanced classes. But the schools themselves maintain a discipline which is orientated to academic success.

Statistically there is a higher satisfaction ratio among catholic school parents and teachers, as compared to their public school counter-parts.

In the center-city areas the catholic schools offer an alternative to schools that might be prone to violence, and often inadequately staffed or maintained. For many a center-city child the catholic school has been a stepping stone into a successful academic career.

But not only in the realm of academics, the catholic school has been an asset to communities by providing responsible and respectful men and women in the community. Catholic school graduates are more likely to respond to the social and human concerns of a community. They are the volunteers and persons who work in human services.

Catholic schools are great places.

yes pot smoker I am. Why? That has nothing to do with the truth. Catholic church is the 3rd largest scam in the world. A wisconson perish has gone bankrupt from paying off what they allowed to happen. Child molesters sounds like you agree with them.
DEAR HTS he stated nothing about paying off people. he was making a comment on your lack of ability to speak and be understood in your prior comment. I agree with him your stoned typeing shows wait till you sober up...ps before you comment how I may feel about pot that is a different thread topic

hey dip.... I must be too slow as you say.I do not understand what your saying part of the time! Why not preread and spell check before posting! It may sound okay in your mind but to read what you post is hard for me and others. I see you missed that point from myself and the other person who tried to explain that to you.

Now do I agree with monies from the church parish paying to keep their mortal sin a secret no I do not support that!

Are you smoking "poy" or "pot"

If you want people to take you seriously, you should really try harder and review your content before hitting "post"

I cannot speak for Obi, but the statistics of catholic schools speak for themselves. Chicago for instance has an abysmal graduation rate which it's education leaders think is good. Public leaders are in opposition to charter schools, mostly because they take tax dollars out of the neighborhood schools. Charter schools have shown a measured increase in academic performance. Again the disciplined atmosphere contributes to a focused learning environment.

As for catholic schools. Statistically across the board the students perform higher on standardized tests than do their public school counter-parts. The introduction of the Prairie State test series in Illinois coincided with an ongoing decline in scores on the Iowa Basics Test. Tests which catholic schools consistently outscored the public schools.

The sad fact of the closure of catholic schools in the center city is that catholic schools had provided a safe personal learning environment for children.

Way back in 2002 The Catholic Church responded to years of abuse through the implementation of protocol in regards to the environment around children. No one had ever stated that the Church was not at fault.

HTS can find this information online when it is not playing video games or attending tractor pulls. Your response is mostly asinine and I chose to ignore it.

More so there are people who go to these message sites so as to have discussions with others of like interest or concern. The priority here is not to encounter neanderthals who know little more than to offer offensive and stupid comments.

Joe,

Love the fact you point out 1. safe place and 2."disciplined atmosphere "

I agree I wish that the good points could be roled in to a public school system. But, then we would have people complaining the nun-teacher wacked my kid. I could not pay the rates for Catholic schools nor to I believe all of the church rules and condone the acts of some of the clergy. This fact has held me off from the comming back to Catholic tv ads.

Sick-of-it, I can appreciate your feelings in regards to the sexual abuse that had plagued the Church for so many years. Some of the decisions were based on bad advise, but some on simple arrogance. Truly very sad. The parish I live in, which has a school, maintains a foundation to assist families in need, that they might be able to send their children to our school. Not every parish is able to do that.

I grew up on the west side of Rockford. Our parish there was actively involved in social justice ministries. For me, Church was not the rules, or a place we had to go on Sunday, but it was our clothing and food drives, repairing and cleaning homes in the South Main area, and after school activities for the neighborhood children. Here we still do mission trips to the Appellation region of Kentucky and Virginia.

I am very disappointed that District 205 is eliminating its Honors classes for budget reasons. That will be a loss for many of the Rockford children.

I wish you well. Take care!

Nevermind, question answered.(Although it's an insult to all people with actual disabilities you are in fact retarded in some sense of the root word definition)
---It's pretty obvious you have NOTHING to do but spread gossip and BS hate speech of one sort or another. Even true Christians like me and I hesitate to say you,(despite the group they belong to, Catholics) aren't safe from your pointless, counter-productive, stereotypical media-driven hate.
---You say my points have no value because I smoke some MJ after work (LIKE HUMANS HAVE BEEN DOING FOR DOCUMENTED HUNDREDS OF YEARS), but YOU can't even put what you call a thought into a coherent sentence. You are a pathetic excuse for a human being. What seperates us from beasts is our ability to empathize with others, tell truth from lies/traps, and communicate complicated ideas effectively. You don't fit that description at all.
---I personally wouldn't give the Catholics, the Mormons, or the Salvation Army my hard-earned money over any other "charity" that spends its money contarary to my beliefs (probably why I hate taxes so much) but the BS you spout is ridiculous. Seriously, I can pretty much GUARANTEE the average Catholic gave more out-of-pocket charity (on top of tithes) than D-bag herestheskinny last year. Prove me wrong HTS.

The American revolution was 3% of people who hated religous zealots and socialist "ther oughtta be a law" idiots like you, who owned guns and met in taverns. Hilarious you mention Willow Creek as a good use of "charitable" funds.
--My basic cable doesn't get ant news for 24 hour insect coverage, but anyway. You only rant about Catholics because the media tells you to. Thinking the pope saying I can't go to Heaven is enough reason to disregard them but you are such a typical puppet. Based on your logic, people should fear van owners, or guys with moustaches, or anyone who wears aviator sunglasses. You're a typical sheep.
-- Your hate of everything not YOU is obvious from your posts. I've observed you hate; muslims, blacks, young people, homosexuals, Mexicans, women, marijuana smokers, anyone who questions the government, brown or yellow 3rd generation Americans trying to make a living, and other bogus crap.
---- BTW I'm a Libertarian not a tea party member. But I happen to know the "parks" your talking about were sometimes significant battlegrounds in either the Revolutionary or Civil War - where ordinary folks rose against the powers that be.-Either that or they just thought a dimly lit basement with an old grouch wasn't the best place to be productive, so they decided to exercise their 1st amendment right to assemble in public.

Answer to what? The mom comment? How sad. You simply want a person to hate and I played your game because I hate people like you. But I'm done. I told you I'm not a tea party member but you can't seem to get that through your head. You wasted more of your useless life to prove you can't read, or spell for that matter. Have a nice day loser!

Why aren't you in church HTS? Instead your online calling people jerk-offs and looking down on poor people.(The library comment) What would Jesus say about you? GTG HTS, and if I don't comment back it's not because I don't hate you, you're correct, or anythying else other than some people have better things to do.- Oh and there sure were A LOT OF VIDEOS to prove how small a group they are!

I don't know if you're just an arguing hypocrite or are really that stupid. RON PAUL IS A LIBERTARIAN!!! He ran on the ticket in '88 if you weren't too high to remember. He's the best example of a RINO (until the GOP starts believing in freedom) The Libertarians rightfully claim Ron Paul. You're an idiot.
- And if the tea-party weren't so racist, loud, and stupid (which gets media attention I'll admit), the Libertarians might have aligned with them. Maybe braying like a donkey is your idea of "getting things done" but Libertarians would rather appeal to a persons logical/rational side.
- You are just stirring the pot and I'd let it slide, if the world wasn't getting dumber with each thing you say.--- Are you going to make me dig up all the stories that involve molesting children that aren't Catholic.(I'll even limit it to religous organizations and really play the game) You are an ignorant sheep. Ron paul would be ashamed. Please don't post anything about Ron Paul again as seeing your idiocy next to his name proves what a hypocrite you are.
