Heartbeat fans back petition to save show

ALMOST 1,000 fans of longrunning television drama Heartbeat have backed a campaign by villagers to save the show.

The mind boggles.One of the best series ever made [along with "All creatures great and small"],that attracts great viewing figures,and these 'geniuses' decide to axe it.Recently we have seen the fiasco of Bankers who thought they were infallible and now TV Execs who think they know better than the audience they should be trying to please.It's actually sheer arrogance.

Please save Heartbeat/The Royal as they are good old style television programmes with no swearing, and no over the top violence.

having recently visited Goathland I was disaapointed to hear this new. What a great show and such a high quality of entertainment. I notice one story said ITV was having success with other cheaper to produce shows....says more about the tv audience nower days I think than they realise - I suspect Heart beat could be back when the audience's revolt. Unfortunatley we have been starved of the show in OZ with he local tv network making a mess of time and season airing. Shame.
