If they call you for a job, do your self a favor and don’t ever think about going., it's full of shit. They want you to go knock on people door and sell them insurance. Very very very bad.

This is a horrible horrible place to work!.. Worked there just for a little while, and everything that comes out of their mouths before your first day IS A HUGE LIE!

I also agree with Nicole. I worked there for about 6 months and it was a great atmosphere. Everyone there is willing to help you succeed and the training there exceeds any place that I have ever worked. I left because I moved. Otherwise, I would reccommend Pedersen Financial Partners to anyone.

I think it's a crock. I created a profile and uploaded my resume on Monster, and less than 4 hours later I got the following obviously automated e:mail (condensed): "I would like to introduce myself, my name is Flo Tomerlin...I came across your resume a few times this week while searching for qualified applicants to fill a few positions...This is a position that can quickly grow to a management role...If you are interested..."

Good grief. I'm annoyed, because I'm a serious searcher and I don't have time for phony junk-mail job opportunities. If this person had truly read my resume they would have known that my career is well beyond an "opportunity" like this. So I googled, and found this blog. In my experience, any organization that sends mass, blind interview solicitations to people whose resumes or profiles contain certain keywords is a chop shop. Suck 'em in with unrealistic expectations of instant (commission) wealth, grind 'em out, and keep whatever business they can generate before they figure it out and quit, or get fired. The sales staff will be young, relatively inexperienced (didn't know how to read the signs), and short on tenure.

Caveat emptor, folks. Automated letters to resume keywords? Highly suspect.

In response to Fryartuck and LIL Susie. Neither of you will find jobs in any industry by bad mouthing companies before you even give them a chance. By you getting your information off of a blog to make your decision for you, that just tells alot about the type of people that you are. Pedersen Financial Partners is a very well established agency with over 70 employee's....they must be doing something right!!!
Fryartuck one last thing...If you are a "serious searcher" you would know that bigger companies ie. Pedersen Financial use Career Builder and Monster e-mail service to find qualified candidates. But I guess you did know that.

Karen .... Stfu ok? Where else are people supposed to research a future opportunity? This blog is serving it's purpose not to waste time in a job search.

So you're saying because a company has "70" employees today that means something? Read the poster's message: those 70 employees will turn over as the company grinds them out.

There's always someone like you that defends these sorts of companies. It's better to READ on a blog that your time will be wasted than work for weeks and learn the hard way.

Quit acting like you don't own this sham company. I think it's great that people found this blog and are staying away!

Hi Everyone,

It's very unprofessional and childish to speculate and discredit a company or business that you don't understand. We are a legitimate business with a history of working in our community. If anyone would like to discuss exactly how we "scam" people or do our business in ANY type of unprofessional manner, please feel free to come and see me or give me call.

I received an email from Pederson Financial Group. Is that the same as Pederson Financial Partners? I'm assuming so. But did the name change? I am skeptical about contacting them. What to do? This is the only info. I found on them. No official website or anything...

You do get paid off of commision but its a great oppurtunity to make a lot of money. If working off of commision is not for you then its not the place for you. But if you take the chance you can make a lot of money. Tod is a very nice person that cares about the people that work for him, There are not many places that care about there employees.

Thank you for saving me the time, trouble and dashed hopes that one gets when one actually receives an interested response, these days. You are a life-saver-as well as articulate!

Hi Tod,

I couldn't help but wonder why the email address you wrote me from was not a real one? That never seems like a good sign when receiving interview inquiries.

Anyhow, straight commission opportunities are not my cup of tea, but good luck to any one else who wants to sell insurance door to door!

Daily Horoscope for February 5

Aquarius

There may be a little push and pull between home and work as the Sun in your sign clashes with the Moon. Things seem a little out of joint. Uranus and Pluto are under pressure, so work or obligations may mitigate your efforts. People in the neighborhood ask a lot of you, but don't be too amenable. Know the right time to say 'no'.
