When your Democrat friends (if you have any) can't explain why they voted for Democrats, give them this list. They can then pick a reason. 10. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't. 9. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would. 8. I voted Democrat because Freedom of speech is fine as long as it expresses MY point of view. 7. I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves. 6. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain tomorrow can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius. 5. I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies through abortion so long as we keep all death row inmates alive. 4. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits at U.S. taxpayer expense. 3. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the democrats see fit. 2. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters. 1. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ass that it is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view. Most of all I am very naive and gullible, although I pretend to be smart. Actually, I am a pseudo intellectual with very little common sense.

In stead of calling me a "Tea Bagger", which I am not, Why not come up with facts to counter my arguement and prove me wrong. I am willing to bet actual cash that you cannot.

10. Yes, the gas stations only make about 4% profit on gasoline. The oil companies - Bush administration gives the biggest tax break to oil companies. Oil companies will make record quarter NET (this is the number they put into their pockets after cost and taxes) PROFITS ever in history. Gas prices hit record high. Hummmm wonder why. Bush=oil? 9. George Bush - First president in US history to have all 50 states simultaneously go bankrupt. Entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down. 8. 2001 George Bush sign into law the Patriot Act. Taking away your rights to privacy. 7. Still have my guns. What, did a Republican knock at your door and ask for your guns saying the Democrats will be taking these away. So you better give them to us to protect them. HAHAHA 6. HAHAHA you are funny. Did you forget that in 2008, Toyota beat out ALL US car manufacture for the top spot in the US. 5. This is a very sensitive subject. It not millions though in the US. It both Republicans and Democrats that at fault. 4. This has been a long standing problem. Its not all Democrats either. 3. Have you ever heard of AIG or Enron? Bush presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud of any market in any country in the history of the world. 1. Maybe you need to get your head out of your ass so you can see what really happened. Here some more to add to the list to thank your Republican buddy George: Sept 11. Over 3000 people die as the worst attack on American Soil. Oh and that guy responsible for this, Osama Bin Laden, still running around FREE. US goes to war in Afghanistan 2001 – This is now 2010. Still no Osama Bin Laden Set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12 month period. Cut healthcare benefits for war veterans. First president in US history to have all 50 states simultaneously go bankrupt. US goes to war with Iraq 2003 looking for WMD – Weapons of mass destruction. Leaving 4400 US solders dead. Still no WMD found to date. Hope your daddy is proud of you Georgia. And the big one>>>> Most US manufacturing jobs go overseas. In 2000 US import from China $100 billion – increased every year to $337 billion by 2008. Unemployment in the US at its highest. Wonder where your job went to?

I'm sorry....Jeffd is STILL correct on ALL 10 and Tom C is very misguided and wrong. It's truly sad. But remember you can annoy a Liberal using facts and logic. End the elected Aristocracy and support a constitiutional amendment for Term Limits!!!

I will make this quick and dirty for you here: 10. Working at a few gas stations I can tell you that they only make pennies per gallon sold. The Oil companies make money through the other products they make besides fuel. There are thousands of products made from oil, and nearly all are more profitable than fuel. 9. Not all of the 50 states are bankrupt, and if any state goes bankrupt, it isn’t the fault of Bush, Obama, Clinton or any President. States are independent of the Federal Government when it comes to their internal budgets and Tax collections. Most of the bankrupt states were trying to collect more pieces of the shrinking income pie while not cutting spending. Totally irresponsible but I am seeing signs of that very thing in this current administration. 8. Show me where the Patriot Act denied ONE AMERICAN their first amendment rights. Besides I am talking about all the Bush Bashing that has been going on for the past 10 years. That’s 2 years past his term of office. We were told it’s our patriotic duty to dissent, but if I try to dissent against Obama, I am labeled a Racist! 7. Glad we can agree on the Second Amendment. There is hope for you yet. 6. Good for Toyota. I just don’t want the Government telling me I have to dive one because of some unproven theory. Go ahead and show me all the “evidence” you want, Human Caused Climate Change is still an unproven theory. 5. Both parties want to kill one group and save the other. I just think the Democrats have it a bit backwards. 4. Yes it has been a problem for years, but I only see Democrats trying to stop a state from doing something about it. 3. Bad people will do bad things no matter who is in the White House. What could Bush have done to prevent anyone who wanted to break the law from doing so? Besides the people responsible were arrested, tried, convicted and thrown in prison, what else do you want? 2. Curious you didn’t comment on this one. 1. My head is not up my ass so I do not have a crappy outlook on life, and I can see what’s happening around me. My mind and eyes are open. Thanks for the intelligent argument. It was refreshing!

Jeff – Tom C come up with valid points that you didn’t address directly. You must be a politician. You talked around his facts. You didn’t address his important statements he made at the end. Also, I think you mentioned “actual cash” if anyone can come up with facts. I think you owe Tom some money. Tom C great job in listing the facts. It’s a shame so many people close their eyes to what Bush and his administration did to this country. They want to blame others, it's easier that way.

I was pressed for time, and could at the time only respond as I did. However if you wish I will respond to his other points and not even ask that he respond to my point #2 about the judicary legeslating from the bench. The September 11 attacks were a failure of our entire system, not one man. The attacks would have occured no matter which President was in the Oval office, Clinton, Bush or if he had won, Gore. Yes Bin Laden has not been found, but that does not mean that he is alive and well. After all has there been any new video of him, no. Only Audio which cannot be difinitivly said to be from Bin Laden or not. I think it would be a great PR benefit in the Terrorist world for Al Queda if Bin Laden could prove he was still alive and kicking after the most powerful country in the world came after him. He has yet to show his face. I personaly think he may well be a worm farm by now. The forclosure rate was caused by several factors. Inflated real estate prices, cheap flexable rate loans that balooned after the housing bubble burst, the recession, any number of laws passed mortgage companies to offer loans to higher risk borrowers. These problems have been building for years so no one president or congress can be blames there. The health care cuts for Vets is a very sore subject with me and goes on the pile of stuff that I think G W did wrong. Fifty US states did not go bankrupt at the same time, This I already covered. The Iraq war is a tough one. You either beleive Saddam had WMD or you dont. We KNOW he had them and was developing more. Saddam USED THEM against Iran and the Kurds in his own country. Wether he had them or not, he Threatoned to use them again. Over 500 empty chemical dispursement artillery shells were found buried in the desert. Plus what was on those mysterious truck convoys headed through Iraq and Jordan en route to Iraq's ally Syria? WMD is the favorite liberal code word for failure, but WMD's were only one reason we deposed Saddam. Saddam was not following the tearms of the 1991 cease fire he agreed to. Noone seems to remember that. Manufacturing jobs went to Mexico due to NAFTA and a lack of tarriffs on those goods. Those jobs started leaving in the 90's. The unemployment numbers are high due to the recession, which Obama cant seem to get us out of even after nationalizing 2 of the big 3 automakers, several HUGE banks, and the entire healthcare system. I hope this satasfies you.

Ya'll are more informed than I am. So I will expose my ignorance and ask, why are the factories closed? We are no longer a manufacturing nation. We do not seem to have any items for sale. How did that happen? Trickle down? I remember a stink about taxes for import/export changing too..about a decade ago tht was claimed to be detrimental to US manufacturers. Anything? Anyone?
And what about those secret meetings I have read about, with the big money fellows. They invented a mortgage insurance market that no one understood, admittedly!, but bought into anyway. Apparently they 'sold' insurance on bundled mortgages, then the bundled, insured mortgages were resold, time and again. One of the after effects being that it isn't a bad idea , if a home owner is in bankruptcy court, to ask the plaintifs to produce the mortgage.(individual mortages were in some cases so parced out as to be nearly unfindable.)
This all seemed to have an ill effect on the stock market about the same time those ARM loans came due; when everything fell apart. Like so many stocks, the only thing being sold was made up paper rather than 'goods'.
Can anyone explain these things to me? Where are our 'products' and why are they there? Why aren't we making stuff ourselves, for ourselves, let alone export? And why haven't we heard about any of those financiers being brought up on charges though congress was warned about them early on by a wistleblowing woman who actually understood what they were doing?
What EXACTLY happened? And if a goofus like me could predict a bankruptcy on friends ARM loans, why couldn't the government? And if I thought that selling/buying 'paper' rather than 'goods' couldn't be a good thing, and that our house was, at best, only worth about 70% of what we were asked for it, why couldn't the big shots see it?
Where was government/market oversight?(not on what I freely paid for my house...but the other stuff...the market stuff and the import/export taxes, the ARM loans, etc.) did they not care where this sort of recklessness would end?
