LIke anything LA does, this will be a disaster. I already know that seniors on fixed incomes do NOT want to use their a/c because of their cost. Even if they have energy efficient ones they are still relunctant to turn on the air though they should. I would think that LA should be concerned about seniors dying of dehydration and heat stroke if they raise their rates too much. Yes, residents in TL or SC would feel as much heat as North Hollywood, etc. Where it might be hotter would be Woodland HIills, Chatsworth, Northridge, etc.

I hope if LA decides to do so they take seniors, dsiabled etc. into consideratoni before they force residents into dehydration. Shame on them.

This makes no since. Giving a discount to the biggest users in the hot areas will make people conserve? Did I miss something? This is yet another stupid idea! People who live in the valley knew it was hot when they moved there.

You're an idiot. The Valley Subsidizes the entire City of LA. Valley residents should get the largest break without any question.
