That's about the extent of it. I knew the guy and unfortunately he was just dealing with a lot of issues that got the best of him. The worst part is that he comes from a great family and had a wonderful girlfirend that he'd been with for a really long time. I just can't believe he is gone.

I'm the person that found him that morning. I stayed with him until he died. I would like to speak to someone from his family. I'm not sure if the last blogger is truly an acquaitance but if you are please pass this information on to him family. I can be reached through LAPD officer peterson at the west valley patrol division.

Maybe I can offer something to the family.

A few of my co-workers saw him right after he passed away & was covered up. It's so incredibly sad that that's what he felt he needed to do. Does he not have any family that can be reached? Do they even know? How awful to know that he was still alive after his jump. It truly breaks my heart. I know this is probably the wrong thing to ask, but how did you find him?

I work in the towers, I walked right past him that morning and had no idea he was there, it still chills me to think about it. I am so very sorry for his family and friends, I can't imagine what it is like to lose someone like that or to be at that place where that seems like your only choice left. I'm sure lot's of people loved him and will miss him and my prayers go out to you.

Mark was so very loved by his entire family. The family did everything they could do to help him and make him well. "If love alone could have helped, he would have never died".

Thank you to those who shared what they saw on Monday. It helped to put the pieces together.

We love you so much Mark and will never forget you!! Rest in peace..........

Victor, I would love to communicate w you via e-mail to ask a couple of questions. I am a friend of the family and am still in shock over the whole thing. As you can imagine, I don't want to bother the family but I would just like to talk to you since you were the last person to see him alive. If you don't want to that is okay. He was a great person and I know a lot of people are going to miss him terribly. My address is [email protected] Thanks.

Judging from the dates of the comments posted above, it appears that people are talking about two different incidences on this forum.

The one that I'm referring to happened today 10/14/2011 at the Warner Center Towers in Woodland Hills, CA.

A young man jumped off of the 17th floor of building 6300 this afternoon around 4PM. Once the paramedics arrived they worked to resuscitate him for 45 minutes before taking him down off of Cheesecake Factory's roof top. It was a very chilling and depressing scene to watch the workers perform CPR on his lifeless body, and judging from what I witnessed I don't think that he made it.

I'm not sure if he had any identification on him either, because building management visited our office shortly after inquiring if anyone knew him.

My heart and prayers got out to his family and loved ones. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope and pray that he made it through... God Bless,

In reference to the 6300 Canoga Ave suicide, I heard a loud noise like a tire pop and thought nothing if it. I then heard the ambulance and still thought nothing, until a co worker asked what was going on down there and he looked out the window and directly below was the young man. He jumped from the 17th floor and landed directly on the either the third or fourth floor. I work on the fourth floor and saw the ambulance try to resuscitate him and saw the final pull where the paramedic said he was done. A few minutes later an investigator came in and asked if anyone knew any information about the deceased.
A co worker actually happened to be in the elevator with him. He said he was frantically trying to get to the 17th floor and kept pushing the button.
My heart goes out to his family.

I was there. I walked up to the cheesecake factory rooftop. The paramedics really tried to bring him back for a long time. But they eventually just called it. I stood over him and looked at his face. He did not look familiar and ive been working here for a couple years. He jumped from rooftop which is like the 19th floor. Onto the rooftop of cheesecake which will be considered the third floor. So the total distance traveled was 16 floors.

Wow, this seems to be happening more and more, I've considered it myself. Life is tough....very, very tough especially here in L.A. Sometimes there seems to be no other alternative, especially when you've had a lifetime of hardship, sadness, hurt and nobody can help you....you wonder when does it end? Why am I here, enduring this? Why is everyone becoming so evil and out for themselves? Everything is becoming more and more corrupt....even our leaders. Rapes, murders, gangs, fighting, theft, lying, just flat out evil going around. Not to mention...America has changed COMPLETELY. It's pretty much ruined...no comment as to why but it's becoming a terrible place. I started going to church...didn't know what to do. This is all in the bible though...LITERALLY. Yup..evil is going around big time. I'm not some religious freak but this is all in the Book Of Revelation and no one sees it. Sorry to the family of your loss.

I work on the 14th floor; I sit with my back to the windows, but one of my coworkers saw him fall. It happened at 3:45pm. We all watched in horror as the paramedics tried to help him, but it was already obviously way too late.

I'm truly devastated at what I saw; my heart aches with sadness for that desperate young man, and I wish with every fibre of my being that there was something I could have done to prevent this.

I have resolved to try to be kinder to strangers and those around me. A smile and a kind word from a stranger, a fellow passenger in an elevator, someone you pass in the hallway, the grocery store, anywhere - might be the one thing that brings a person back from the brink of hopelessness.
I urge you all to do the same. Please.

I work on the 11th floor of the 6300 Canoga building. We too saw the man on the roof of the Cheesecake Factory. We were wondering who this person was? Does anyone know? Apparently he had no ID, according to the building management company, and they don't think he worked in the building? He looked like he was wearing some kind of uniform, we thought maybe a maintainance worker but the building mgr. confirmed it wasn't anyone from her staff. Also, for anyone else who witnessed this terrible tragedy, I hear the buidling management company will be sending an email to all staff working at both buildings with grief counseling information, should you choose to utilize it.

I work on the 5th floor of this bldg and am devastated from what I saw. Tragic. One of my co-workers saw this young man falling and saw when his shoes came off. It was black friday for our office as we too watched him lay there until security arrived. Paramedics did all they could, even when it was clear this young man was gone. My deepest sympathy to his family. They will now wonder forever what drove him to do such thing. I totally agree with Kate (6300 Canoga) in being kinder to strangers as we don't know what burden, sadness, loss they are enduring.
After watching this I could not wait to come home and hug my boys. I told them how much they are loved.
I will never, ever forget what I saw. When I close my eyes, I see him and his shoes and clothes scattered (paramedics cut-off his shirt and jeans) on the roof.
