This womans name needs to be published as would any other citizen that creates a deadly situation. I beleive this woman has a position in the civil sector (city government), and has friends in law enforcement that are protecting her identity. This is bias, and withholding the rights to the public sector.

The names of people who are placed under mental health observation for suicidal actions are generally always withheld. No weird conspiracy necessary.

Name being withheld to protect the innocent? It wasn't DUI or the like, coupled with being 5150?

Was it a slow news day? Why wasn't the paper there on the scene? At the very least they could have gotten a good picture of the command post, fire, police, ambulance, and sherriff's deptments. Not to mention the porta pottys that were brought in. She works for the District Attorney's office. She recently recieved a DUI. The DA's office has covered up for her before, so I doubt there will be any charges. Wink, Wink. Why did the paper fall down on the job? If you had shown up you would have known what kind of gun she really had and if she dischared it. They had to perimeter off the area because a women waving a gun is a danger to the public. Who is going to pay for all the resources that were needed during this siege? I am very happy she did not injure herself or others. She is a woman that needs help. So she will not be a danger to herself or the rest of us. Not the DA's office being an enabler for her to continue her bad behavior.

Oh, don't worry about this poor women being protected from her buddies in law enforcement and city government (How on earth did you obtain this inside information?) Your need to know will be satisfied once she has been released from observation.

She does work for the District Attorney's Office so how in the heck can they decide if they are going to charge her with anything?

"Generally" in your post is almost conclusive to this incident, i still stand on my and my fellow peers the right to know who this compentent (not mental) person who i believe holds an official position in Yolo County, who is being protected by her co-workers.

this story reminds me of a Mexican man in west Sacramento that was also having mental health issues and the police was called, this man was beat and abused by the police and charged with a felony i guess it is true you really need to be white in order to be treated fairly, it's a shame.
You forget the DA, white Republican, does not want his office surrounding with more scandal. He is not hiding to protect her, he is hiding to protect him. It would not be surprising if this woman filed a stress claim about the DA's office due to the hostile and totalitarian run office under the direction of Mr. Jeff Reisig. What a crooked office run by a crooked man with crooked ethics.

I didn't see where they listed her as a gangbanger on parole or probation with a violent criminal history. Taht is probably the difference, not the color of her skin.

Depends on her capacity but I am sure she will receive time off. She will probably have to use Vacation time, Sick leave and floaters until she is diagnosed. When the diagnosis is completed she may go out on stress leave, if she has never mentioned problems at home, problems in a relationship or other problems that may have caused the break down but, I still have not seen any evidence that she works in the DA's office. If she does work in the DA's office, is she an investigator or a clerk? What does where she works have to do with it anyway? There is a stigma attached to mental illness so the name should not be printed. If a crime is not commited against, are there examples of when names were listed?

wow. you people are horrible. If this was your relative you would want the matter handled so this person could get help without everyone in this one horse town gossiping about it. Have some compassion, people!!! This stuff happens a lot more than what is publicized. People need to let this person alone and hope they get help- they are their own worst enemy, apparently. Butt out. And, no, I don't know her or him, whoever this person is.

Thank You Shocked all you idiots with some political agenda need to go back to church and say a prayer for yourself and your families. This is obvious that this person needs help and it is apparent this person was reaching out for help. Suicide is no joke nor is it a political or race agenda. Shame on all of you.

All who? Did you mean to say (some of you)? If not you should read all. I do not appreciate being lumped into a group. I stand by my statements only, not as a group.

I *really* want to know how all these conspiracy nuts "know" that the woman in question works for the DA's office and has a history of DUI? Where is this information coming from? And if you have the information, why not just publish it here instead of making paranoid innuendoes about a cover-up?

All I am reading is paranoia. ooohh the DA is covering up something. ooohh the boogie man is hiding in my closet. ooohh i have no real evidence i am just going to make wild accusations.

ooohh i'm scared.

Mark D, No paranoid innuendoes or boogie man here. I know this woman. I know her name, where she works and her history. I don't believe publishing her name would benefit her family and children. She is where she needs to be now. Hopefully she will get the proper help she has needed for a long time. And that is all I have to say on the subject.

The difference is everyone one knows this person, they knew she worked for the DA's Office, the DA was briefed and had input on how it was handled and then used his contacts with the media to control what was releases. The cops on scene all knew her. She is not the problem, let's see if she files a stress claim against the DA for pushing her to this point???? Then let's see if that gets any coverage..
