its funny how people believe the words of POLOTRICKTIANS while the safety and health of the citizens and visitors are comprimised because of poltricktians spend, steal, and cheat the system constantly.

The citizens and the visitors that actually pay for the running of the city, Are most in danger, funny how that is.

And there are some very stupid people that believe the POLOTRICKYTIAN. SAD FOR YOU.

As usual they blame the workers or the citizens for the problems, or lack of money when it is all gone.

Taylor does not need nearlyh this many firefighters. Because of this selfish act of getting this unneeded federal money u blame lamarand when he is only doing what is fiscally responsible. Taylor and other cities r so used to crying like spoiled babies when they don't get their way.all involved in this should hang their heads in shame!!u don't even know what sacrifice is!

its funny.....you seem to think I am ignorant. you seem to be ignorant by stating i dont know what sacrifice is, you dont even know me.

second of all, how do you know what the amount of firefighters Taylor should have, because your politician told you?

and third, the "CITY" can only apply for a grant, so why do you blame anyone other than the politicians that requested the grant?
by your comments " this selfish act of getting this unneeded federal money" shows that you think the employees went and got the grant, sir, you are so misinformed and biased that it is silly.

your argument seems to be biased towards your politicians beliefs, and not any concern for fiscal responsibility, because the public safety of the citizens/visitors is really the issue.

but your blinded by your backing of your political faction.

I bet you would be the first to sue your wonderful city when the fire dept couldnt or didnt arrive as your loved one choked on a piece of hot dog, or the police didnt show up and someone broke into your home and caused injury to a loved one.

Listen. The fact is lamarand is the mayor. Taylor elected him to do a job. The silly recall failed. The fact is that Taylor has too many firefighters. When they got out there carrying pickets signs last year it was silly. Hard times means sacrifice by all . U cannot have it both ways .cities can share firefighters. Show me proof that Taylor need this many police and firemen. The fact is they don't! What is the average pay for these people apiece? Don't u try and tromp on me because I tell the facts!! Got it?

This has nothing to do with politics. I am a democrat fer most part. How many citizens have sued Taylor or other cities because house or business burned.? The mayor says they don't havemoney to couple with this grant. Why not spend money on new schools or the like? Could any worker sacrifice some of their pay working for cities counties etc? The fact is federal government is in such debt it is unbelievable. Let lamarand make decisions.not the city judge.in this case.this should go to supreme court.better accountability of our tax dollars is not impossible. If that means cutting staff so be it. Over and out.

And the fact is I respect all public workers who put their duty in. After the first gulf war in 1991 there were military people let go a few months later. Does that mean they don't have respect?Dancing around the cold hard facts is not going to solve deficit problem that r left. I was stopped by Taylor policeman in December of 2005 who I thought was a great example for his badge.but if cuts r needed no pickets signs will solve deficits. And neither will this grant by feds.!

And let us do research here
When I landed here in Taylor(formerly Taylor township)in October 1977 from lorain Ohio there was obviously something wrong then. The school building in Ohio was much better conditions than Taylor center. They were cutting sports programs. Someone was even trying to get me to sponsor them for money which I had little to none.how can "City on the grow" have such disregard for basic fundamentals? There was enough funds coming in. The state should have always been involved in making sure city funds were used properly. It was like night and day when I left Ohio to witness this. This region needs to hire full time advisors and an audit quarterly to make surere things r on up and up!

And waste u should have never got me started. Who came up with this old ridiculous pension plan? It may hopefully not be in effect now but the old timers still receive it . Making $80 grand a year and retiring at 150 grand per year. Is this fair? Taylor at one time could not fund pensions and raised property taxes just to cover ridiculous pensions. Not even a four star general with 30+ years of service gets an outrageous pension such as this. Is it lamarand fault lavish waste is allowed to occur? I read negative pamphlet on lamarand in November of 2011 and it had me mad. But things went on in Taylor that the state of Michigan should have halted.one police chief tried to justify his pension but it was such a limp excuse it was laughable.look at things that occurred that have left Taylor broke long before lamarand. People called him a clown but he fits right in with this CIRCUS!!!

Former mayor pitoniak was also outraged at these ridiculous pensions.who ever created the formula for such outrageous pensions? This is an example of extreme corruption in of itself. R the citizens still paying them? Why hasn't the feds investigated Taylor.? There is no reason some of these pensions should have ever been allowed.am I wrong?

And yes mayor could have gone along with this " GOOD OLE' BOY NETWORK" in taylortucky. But he stood up for what is right. This here city of Taylor has very little if any fiscal discipline. He was trying to assert some but everyone starts whining and going to judge who should not have got involved.keep these ridiculous pensions and salaries and this city will continue having money woes! Who will u blame when lamarand is no longer mayor.?
