Judge rules communities can capture Detroit Zoo, DIA millage dollars
The Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Zoo lost a round in court this week when a judge ruled that local communities can capture part of their revenue for things like fancy streetlights, decorative pavers and other improvements in their downtown districts.

I agree with this ruling after thinking a little.after all this tax is fer 10 years. DIA and others dont need to hog it! They woukd if they could!

If anyone really needed $$$ the zoo would be best candidate. The cost of food alone fer gods creatures is staggering! DIA has more stable expenses.

The DIA has more stable expenses than the zoo? Do they have some live exhibits we don't know about?
