How about some compassion for both KIDS who made a tragic mistake. If you never pushed the limits as a teen (2am or 2pm) then you are just not being honest. I know the parents of one of these kids and you shouldn't judge them. I have two young boys myself and I pray they don't make a poor decision like this one that turns out tragic. Two o'clock in the morning? These KIDS should have been home in bed instead of driving around with their friends.
I hope the 17 year old loses his license for allowing the 16 year old to drive his car, but I'm sure mommy and daddy will be buying him a new car as soon as the insurance check comes in the mail.
