The government should allow individuals to do whatever they like with there bodies as long as it is not harming anyone besides themselves. Marijuana and drugs of any nature should be legal at the adult age of 18. This 19 hoax is bullshit.

19 to smoke, 21 to drink, 18 to die... who's in control of this country and it's laws? The People, The people that the People elected, or special interest groups...

You see, this is the type of shit that gets made into law when all you care about is football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and i guess now... Golf.. Just the fact that people care about 'golf' is a bad sign.. jesus...

Why not let the nazi's make the laws here.. i'm sure they'll promise to let you still get mezmorized by sports, you just sit back and relax while they make all the laws and do what they want in THEIR interest..

Then when they do something that effects you.. go ahead and try to pry people away from the TV or sporting events..

This is not about allowing 18 year olds to smoke! this is about right and wrong and backwards thinking..

I'm almost 18. The day I am, I'm going to buy a cigar. And I am going to enjoy it. And yes, it is stupid to place restrictions on CITIZENS when it comes to their bodies. When someone becomes a legal adult, they should be free to do what they like, within reasonable bounds of course. Either raise the legal age for everything to 21, or stop the bull shit about tobacco. You all know the whole "If I can be in the military" thing. It's true. So yeah. Stop being stupid. Everything at 21 or everything at 18.

Maybe we should just put some deadly chemicals in all the smokable drugs that will kill you if u have than like 3 a day. That way all you little drug addicts will die and stop polluting our oxygen. Problem solved. End of story. Except for the part where like 50% of our population dies and then Germany is like fuck that lets go kill those bastards then in 50 years from now they are gonna do the same thing alochol because americans cant hold their drinks. he may be a sad individual but at least he believes in a free society, if i smoke a cigar it doesn't hurt anyone but myself. and don't pull that second hand smoke shit because if you're that bothered by it you have the right to leave. so shut up. if you want to live in a totalitarian society then go to north korea. maybe you can suck some asian dick there. your mother must have raped you in early adolescence for you to have that kind of social retardation.

Roll Tide. Hello people of the internet, this is my veiw. I think a person should be abke to buy tobacco at the age of 14 and I will tell you why. Its because When a person is 14 in alabama they can legally opperate a moyorcycle on public roads and they can legally work. In any situation where a 14 year old is driving a motorcycle to work, he should have the freedom to decide weather he wants to purchase tobacco. At any rate if he is working, I'm sure there is someone there who will buy him some if he asked. On top of that, he pays taxes, is a legal citezen of the united states, and not to mention that he could die at any moment in a car accident on public roads. In other words, a 14 year old person is an adult in my eyes, and its about time we start giving our young people some freedom! Do we really want our upcomming generation to think that the government gets to say how to live thier lives? I don't, in fact I think a developed nation like our own should encourage decision making for young people. Rather than tell them when they are allowed to make decisions. Holding back only makes the blow harder, and trust me, I plan to hit as hard as I can. Say I'm overly aggresive, say I'm a radical maniac. But one thing you can never say is that I seek to jeprodize the freedom of any American no matter their age. Neither do I seek to harm the great people of this nation in any way. I will not be the one yanking the products our 21 and 19 year olds freely enjoy from the hands of the people that one day will hold the power to do so in the near future! I hope I make my self clear to the citizens and to the leaders of America, I refuse to be quiet in a time where my freedom is comprimised! Be it by law, by force, not even nature can silence me, and if you can't read the words on your screen this very moment it is God's own will that my voice be heard! Jonah for Govenor, 2040, and roll tide baby, roll tide roll on up to washington.

You are too ignorant. Do you research. Tobacco yellows the teeth ages one faster than nature and is undesirable. It also causes second hand smoke which can cause the same effects to the recipients. The main drug you guys are refering to.. Cannabis is actually proactive with various ailments and conditions. While in theory still produces tar when smoked similar to cigs, carcinogens are far fewer and when vaporized or baked creates no harm short or long term. The odor is more preferable, yet could be debated. Also it does not just create a high from delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol THC but a CBD producing no hallucinations or false perceptions, which would be preferred for children seeking relief. So stop being so stuck up and educate your dumb ass.
