I am truly sorry that he was in this accident, but a lot of other people have been in drunk driving accidents and they dont get this kind of ceremony. It was a wake up call when Suozzi was in his own accident he decides to put red light cameras... and now this... I mean a 7 yr old flower girl has no life and her parents may never recover from theyre loss and you NOW finally wake up on drunk drivers... Come on Suozzi this is shameful.

"Shameful?"

Did you read the article? The ceremony wasn't all about Officer Baribault, he was honored as part of a larger ceremony. Aren't cops subjected to greater danger than the average citizen? Maybe we ought to recognize that.

Would you like Suozzi to go door to door and hand out medals to everyone who's been in an accident? And you say he finally woke up on drunk drivers. Aren't you glad he woke up?

Please, get a perspective.

He, meaning Suozzi has this thing, when cops break the Law, he says dont worry abouuuut, and when there injured he plays to the people and campaigns on their injuries. Thats a SICK MIND for you.

HE should have woke up years ago!!! Why does it take a cop to change things? Seriously... Its not fair for other people who lost lives to drunk drivers years decades before ...!

Aren't you glad things have finally changed? Why are you so angry that the catalyst was a cop?

Look, I had a best friend who was a Nassau County Cop until he recently passed away. I dont hate Cops. You dont know what I know about a couple of cops. People have confirmed they are bad. I know the cops and the people, I want people to argue and keep the subject on the screen. Look how long I can get a subjet on top of the page. I out smart people at their own game. But your questions were innocent and you showed class which is a gift that most people dont have. Have a great nite.

If Suozzi really wanted to promote the Cop ,he would have done it in a way every other company does it , not in a public Forum for political reasons. There's nothing wrong with the promotion for what happened, I feel sorry for him, but he was used by Suozzi and there's others out there who have done some real remarkable things that go un-noticed, Keep it quiet but be proud.
