And having to get them replaced every 10 years or so and then starting at 18 gives you lots to look forward to. Start saving!!

What a sorry set of women coming up in the 21 century! Better realize that God made humans with hormones to keep the species going. So, that means that women have the prize on them already and keep forgetting it! You do not have to do anything to make a man want you - they have to want you - it is God's will for the species!

Its sad when insecure young women try to turn their implants into confidence. Why can't people just learn to accept and love the way they are? Who cares what their friends look like.

this is a sad article...
counseling sessions are cheaper and help with the scars rather than leave them.

It depends on the individual and if they really feel self-conscience about it. AA to a C might would help self-esteem, D to DD, not necessary. Any D that wants larger SHOULD go for counseling.

What happens when the flapper trend from the 1920's comes back in style? Then all these women with fake implants are going to want their implants removed. Beauty, trends, and fashion vacillate all the time. These women will be sorry they were so fickle with their bodies...

Also, can I just point out that these plastic surgeons who condone surgery to young girls with still-developing bodies are just money-grubbing scumbags?

These girls need to wait and see what their bodies do. I was a rail-thin A cup until my mid-20s. Then my metabolism slowed a bit, I gained a few pounds, and now I'm rocking an awesome C-cup. And I've found that guys aren't really that picky about boobs, so long as you have SOME, so these girls are really just doing it to impress their female friends.

This is really discouraging - we haven't come a long way, baby, if surgery is young women's answer to insecurity. And what are these doctors and parents thinking? Many women don't completely stop developing until after age 18. I don't see any connection to putting on a uniform and going into battle. What we're seeing here is surgically altering bodies that haven't even stopped growing yet, and using major surgery to fix a failure to "fit in." Both are indications of shallow, careless thinking.

It would be easier to augment a brain. Wait. That would involve opening a book. Nevermind.

As others mentioned, what a sure indicator of low self-esteem. Give me a small-breasted over-achiever anyday. She's likely to be more fun anyway.

And we think womens' lots have improved in this age? Think again!

Men generally prefer natural breasts, no matter what the size. Women, we are doing this to ourselves! We have managed to convince ourselves that the only standard of beauty is what Hollywood, the fashion industry and porn have jammed down our throats.

Only when we start to accept that beauty does come in ALL shapes and sizes will we truly become liberated.

100 years ago there was no boob jobs or other plastic surgery. People had wrinkles, they sagged, they aged. And guess what? Women were still beautiful. And men thought so too.

I wouldn't want to touch a fake breast ever they are really gross and in certain positions you can actually see the implant. It doesn't look good at all. Its also a sign of really low self esteem. These women are losers and fake boobs won't change that fact.

My ex had fake boobs, I was afraid I would poke my eye out on them. I prefer the real thing no matter the size.

They don't play gymnastics? I hate to break it to the doctor but in competitive gymnastics once an athlete develops breasts its pretty much over.
