The whitest area in the TC I have been in was was a very liberal hood near the st paul campus. They even have campaign signs in their yards for a dead senator.

Another odd observation is that Woodbury has a lot of first and second generation immigrants. They work and pay lots of taxes, too.

Yeah, they depend on the level of risk. With a modified they can pass to classes but no one is allowed to enter or leave the school.
Hope everyone is ok. Which elelmentary school are the emergency vehicles at?

Because a school goes into lockdown about twice a week because of a report of a suspicious person that asks a pedestrian for direction or if a carpenter holden a hammer is mistaken to be a maniac with a pistol and is within the 100 square block protecton zone, they go into lock down. It is a lesser degree if the lockdown is caused by someone walking their dog that is deemed to be curel to animals for having to pull it away from a telephone pole if it stops to sniff.

How true a statement that is! Population control is achieved by raising taxes.
I think 99.9% of the people in Woodbury would call the Cops if a Black Family was looking at a house for sale next to them, but they are the 1st people to call the AZ bill Racist.

Look talk bad all you want about Woodbury!!!!!!! I grew up in Frogtown. If you have children then you would want the safety of them to come first. Get the facts straight & worry about whatever city you live in. Don't worry about Woodbury if you hate it so much. BTW read the newspaper or watch the news. This city has had a lot of tragedy in the past few months. BTW I'm a minority. How you like me now???????. Vv

Have you ever been to Woodbury??? Our lovely, middle-class Woodbury neighborhood includes African American, Indian, Chinese, Lebanese, and Hmong families. And our neighborhood is not unusual in Woodbury.

My daughter goes to school at the school in question. What bothers me about the situation is the LACK of information given to students OR parents regarding the lockdown. The kids were not given a reason for the lockdown.
The irony is that there were several elementary schools holding their "Track & Field" day at the HS track: ACROSS THE PARKING LOT from the school in question! Were they also under lockdown? If so, how was that even possible?
One more thing: it is the freakin' Libs who are always pointing out racial percentages in any given neighborhood; personally, I believe that people are people AND should be judged by their characters, not by their color. I'd bet that MOST people in Woodbury feel the same way. Until you actually live here, you have NO way of knowing what kind of people are here or how diverse our community really is. Hover, you are just as bad with those comments as the comments made by a Farmington Hockey Dad after one of our STAR Peewee hockey players schooled his kid on the ice: "What the hell is that kid doing playing hockey - isn't he SUPPOSED to be on the basketball court?" BTW: that Star player? Yeah, he's an awesome, awesome kid who also happens to be black and if he and his family lived next door to me, I'd be proud as hell to have them as neighbors. As it is, I'm proud to call them my friends and honored that they think the same of me. You have no right making assumptions like you just did.(Btw, I think the AZ Immigration law is ON THE MONEY since it follows the Federal Immigration laws to the letter.)

Woodbury is a Liberal's bad dream. It has been on the list of best places to raise a child. It is quite conservative. The people are well educated and it is not all that white.

Woodbury has lower taxes than StPaul or Mpls. Nice try, thanks for playing.

Just like a conservative to blame the liberals for something that a conservative did or said... YOU also have no right making assumptions.

We can have a: modified reverse lockdown, a double secret lockdown, a stalkdown lockdown, a party town lockdown. Well, that should keep the over-reactors busy for a while.

BTW I was being sarcastic. I live & work in Woodbury, which does have a diverse group of people, but the control the city council puts over the town you'd think that I was being serious.

I've never seen a bigger group of yuppies than here. None of the "snobs" go outside of their big houses, there is no sense of communitiy, and overall it's pretty much a joke.

It makes me sad that this is your experience in Woodbury. Not my experience at all; although there are the poseurs like you find in any community, for the most part, I've found it to be quite welcoming and love it here. And, for the record, I'm not even close to a yuppie and my house is pretty average-sized in an older neighborhood.
