Bottom Dollar plans to double South Jersey presence
The two proposed locations - the South Broad Street site in Woodbury is to go before the city's planning and zoning board on March 6 - are part of an eight-store expansion in New Jersey, the Salisbury, North Carolina, based grocer said Tuesday.

According to trade reports, about half of the Bottom Dollar footprints in this area are not profitable, due to huge competition in many suburban communities. If Bottom Dollar were to open a store in Center City it would be the top producer in the chain. There are thousands of plain folks residing here, whom are desperate for an affordable model such as Bottom Dollar.
