It is a good place but BG Parks is much cheaper and does not require a contract.

Pros include: lots of workout equipment, good hours, clean facility, convenient location. Cons include: high monthly cost, high fee to join, and it is often very crowded, especially during peak hours. If you live or work near the downtown area, Bowling Green Parks and Rec is a much better deal. Monthly fee is much lower, you aren't locked into any contracts, and you don't have to pay anything to join.

Another place that is really gaining some followers is Get Toned off Scottsville Road..one on one personal trainer..serious workouts...I hear it is about the same price as the gyms in town too.

The park department Gym offers a lot for a very low price. Your membership gets you 4 free personal training sessions and they are low cost after that. Once you get the 4 free you get one free every month after that so if you need to be challenged more or have a change in your work out they can work with you. The only thing I don't like about it is there isn't child care, but the prices are amazing and they are open some really great hours!

A lot of thugs work out at Parks and Rec but its nicely maintained, good equipment, cheap and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. House of Fitness is really nice but old and the equipment isn't very well maintained but friendly staff and inexpensive. It is also the only real 24 hour gym in town, that's 24/7/365. BAC is by far the nicest in town,excellent facility but its more of a social club, plus the sign up fee is $150. Employees at Total Fitness can be snotty but their facilities are nice and the sign up fee is $100 cheaper than BAC.

I like BAC.

I DON'T like some of the movies they play.... but getting to work out in a movie room is pretty cool. I hadn't ever heard of that before. It also gets a little warm in there though...

I also wish they had a pool.

But it's neat they have tanning right there. Nice and convenient and you can pay $20 for unlimited tanning for the month!
