If the readings are not accurate or the patron uses it and comes in just a scant under the limit, goes out, kills someone and then tests way over... who gets to be on the receiving end of the lawsuit

ALWAY'S THE BAR OWNER....ALWAY'S!
EVEN WHEN IT'S NOT THE BAR OWNERS FAULT, IT STILL IS.
THE LAW ALWAY'S MAKES THIS KIND OF THING THE BAR OWNERS FAULT, EVEN IF THE PERSON DRANK IN HIS CAR AFTER THE ACCIDENT. THIS IS AN UNFAIR LAW, AS PEOPLE SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS.

Perhaps they should also put them in their snooty little wine & cheese meet & greet the legislators/fundraisers and various wine tasting events around the state.

I've been to a number of these over the years. Plenty of "stinko" people there. But then.....they're the beautiful people, not your average Joe beer drinker at the local pub.

so tell me this. how does the installation of the breathalyzer in the bar make any difference on the owner of the bar getting sued if the guy drives off and kills someone. The person would be leaving the bar either way. The breathalyzer plays no factor in the situation

The problem is, nobody knows whether they are too drunk to drive. How about a simple and clear rule: If you drink any amount of alcohol at all, you are not allowed to drive.
