I am looking for a puppy for my children. I havechecked the humane society but most of their dogs are older and when three small children I would rather a puppy that they can grow with. I would like a dog on the small side. If anyone knows anyone selling please let me know

Thank you

I know someone with a 4 month old teacup chih.(excuse me I don't know the correct spelling). I think its $175. Of course, if your kids are really young, that might not be the best choice but thought I would pass it along.

I've heard that Spitz' are horrible with kids. My mom also owned one a few years ago that was about 9 months old. She was trying to put it in the cage and it turned and bit her!

do you not care about the puppies at the pound? you would rather pay a bunch of money for one than save a little life

Check the web for puppies at the humane society in and around the area. Those really need a home, and make great pets. We've adopted two cats and a dog, and they've all been great. But, if you can't find one to suit you, a pug is a great choice if you're wanting an inside dog. They are loving, thrive on attention from anyone and everyone, sleep a lot, and do well with other pets. Good luck, but look at the shelters first.

I was told last night by someone at the Humane Society that a Weimaraner breeder had 14 puppies that he is giving away. As the mommy of a Weim, I have to say that they are amazing dogs and they shed very little because they don't have a lot of hair! Get in touch with them and they can probably give you the info!

People can see your post but it could be that the person wants a small breed and many times, the ones for adoption are lab mixes or something that will be a larger dog. I know I went there in the past but was never able to find a small breed dog or small breed puppy for adoption.

That's not entirely true. I got my small breed puppy from the Humane Society. If you log onto Petfinder.com and enter your zip code/ age preference (in your case a baby)/ preferred size, you can see all of the puppies within a certain mile radius that are available. It's usually less $$ than purchasing from a breeder - for example, my dog was only $75 and included all his shots - and you are doing a world of good.

Maybe our Humane Society doesn't immediately have any on hand - but here are some close by: http://www.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi...

We have a three year old son and when he was one we bought him a Basset Hound. In my opinion they're the perfect dog for a little one. They play together but the Basset isn't too hyper. My son loves the dog! Here's the link to where we got ours. www.bucksbullies.com/

TThe problem with going to the humane soc. is the 5000 hoops they want you to go through in order to get a pet. I understand they want it to go to a good home, and thats good. But in addition to paying a fee, they also want friends phone numbers, vet refs (What if you've never had a vet?)and other information that you may or may not want to give out.

Sorry but the warren county animal shelter would adopt out more if they didn't act like pet nazi's.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Cancer

You may not be privy to every little thing that's going on around you, but so what? Crabs can't always be in control, but you don't need to feel insecure, either. Thanks to your electronic devices, you appear to be a little godlike to those who don't have the same access as you do at the moment. Just make sure that you memorise the important stuff in case the system goes down.
