Depressed in more ways than one. The mismanagement of the city began in the early 1980's. Before then it was just a corrupt mill town. We are suffering now because of the real estate crooks and downtown types who took over and ran the city beginning in the early 1980's. They placed their agents in city hall and the rape and pillage began. We will be paying for this rape and pillage of St Marys for the next generation at least.

Increasing costs of water and sewage and commerce in a time of economic near-depression is insane. Heads need to roll. Mayor and Council should resign or lock them up.

During the Depression, the unemployment rate was 25% and wages (for those who still had jobs) fell 42% total U. S. economic output fell by 65%

By the governments definition St. Marys is in a depression. Our economic output if off by 90% prior to the closing of the paper mill, our unemployment is pushing 30% we are in big trouble and no one wants to deal with the City of St. Marys and its wonderful Council.

Unless you work on Base, BOE, County/City governments you have been in a depression since Kraft and the Mill closed. A decade of no new jobs. Thanks JDA and St. Marys city council.

a person who loses a contest election, or other competition. You know the type Jay Moreno is a good example of "also-ran" well the votes are in Osprey Cove and they do not want St. Marys to go forward for what ever reason. Get used to your new bosses. Either that are start home invasions. Load up the area with section 8 housing all over the airport property. Water and sewage already to go just start building those apartments on the back side of the airport on Douglas Drive. Right Jay ?

If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck and has feathers it just might be a DUCK ! YES we are in a depression in St. Marys by any standards. Present Leadership should get out of office before the mess up anything else.

Yet the worse of thieves keep getting elected. Then get a family to take the seat after being caught stealing. I hear they do this to avoid audits of departments. One candidate is said to want a forensic audit of Probate if he wins. Therefore he can kiss all chances goodbye!!

It is not a depression. It is just the Mayors downtown renovation project. It is a down hill spiral fueled by Deloughy and crews B.S. They have created the worst local govenment possible and killed off any chance of developement. Only a fool would want to locate a business regulated by the damn fools.
