I'm sorry, Julian, but you are incorrect. I got my comment "in" before you had the opportunity to correct my BFF.

What in the heck to the Spencers have to do with SPLOST 7? Voters are the ones who will decided.

I will be voting no because the current council cannot manage what they have. They will plan to raise the mil-rate anyway; SPLOST or no SPLOST.

Yes, folks, we desperately need a massive infusion of Vulcan genes into Camden's gene pool.

Does anyone really believe that the number one priority of the Council is to pay off the W/S bond debt? This gift will be passed on to our children and grandchildren and great grandchildren and etc....

Yes, I do. So do all the other rational folks who will approve SPLOST VII by a comfortable margin.

That may well be the dumbest anti-SPLOST statement I've heard. So you plan to punish council by voting no and placing further burden on the taxpayers? Without a continuation of SPLOST (a tax that we've had for over 30 years) we'll all be crushed.

I guess you will have to put the passing of splost 7 on your loser list of Romney, Gregory, Traiter and T-splost just to mention a few. Genius.

It's not going to make a difference if you vote splost In. Council is going to raise the water and sewer bills and millage rate regardless.

If splost loses, they can only raise your water/sewer rates and millage rate. At least they won't have the big chunk of money from splost to piss away.

I'm voting NO !!!

There you go with your predictions again. You have a poor record as it is Jay. I think you better stop while you are ahead.

Lessons have to be learned...the sooner the better. The political climate must change in this town...the only way to do that is to create a political crisis. Unfortunately, if people go along to get along and recognize that we need serious leaders, the mindset will not improve.

Oh, I am sure those folks you have listed are quaking in their boots in fear of Jay "I am a blowhard" Moreno. Jay is about as useless as tits on a boar hog. In his case, so are his nuts!

Here's the problem with SPLOST. It is sold as a way to save tax payers on property tax. Well they take the money and build all sorts of new and shiney buildings that must be maintained, staffed and repaired by tax payers. Because you guessed it, you can use SPLOST to build it, but you cannot use SPLOST to maintain it and staff it. So in the long run, SPLOST is actually a huge increase in property tax.

But to be totally honest, my house is under contract and and I am moving to Charlton County where the government is a tad less oppressive.

I've been looking at the funding breakdown, and what projects are on the list. History is repeating itself. Most of the money is going to St. Marys, and nothing north of the Satilla. Just like the old days.

So your plan is to vote No to SPLOST VII thereby foisting the full burden on the taxpayers by creating "a political crisis"? To hell with the people struggling to get by, to hell with the homeowners and businesses, to hell with everyone as long as you get to play mini-revolutionary? Grow up and take off your tinfoil hat.

Exactly. That is the Spencer/Tea Party whack-o way. When you scrape away all the facades, you find a core of deranged, anarchistic, sociopathic, megalomaniacal, exhibitionists.

They've been working towards this destruction since 2000. The community is just beginning to feel the effects of their decisions. Get this! No NEW industry is slated for Camden County . The tax digest is about 70% residential. Recipe for a very depressed community. Add on to that the fact that Kings Bay just informed their civilian employees they have to take the next 22 Fridays off without pay.
All bright minded people either left Camden before or shortly after Steve Berry! The psunami is coming, it's labeled as extreme poverty folks!
So how can all this be reversed? What's the first step?
