Goverment Tax and Spend

County and City Millage tax, Ad Valorem for homes, cars, boats, etc.. Lost, E-splost, Splost taxes just isn't enough. We need the SI-splost.

The special interest tax will go directly into the hands of the folks that take your tax money for the purpose of making lots of money for themselves or enhancing their social position in life.

We can streamline the process.

There is never enough tax revenue for greedy and crooked government blood suckers. They always want more to spend and steal.

Spend it til it's gone baby. Tax dollars are burning holes in my pockets. My plastic card is good everywhere (except at the tag office, no debit or credit). Maybe we should actually spend a few tax dollars on the community and buy a couple of those armored vehicles. Back to the party.

Government employees have no money management skills. They don't need money management skills. All they want to do is waste money and raise tax. It is a never ending downward spiral for the community and the tax payers.

Don't get the mistaken impression from this thread that lots of people are against SPLOST VII because they're not. It's just the same one or two people writing under dozens of names (like the last four posts.) Most of the comments are Spencer's. I'm voting yes to VII. Most sensible people will too.

This is only my third posting on this topic. And for the record, I'm not a Spencer. I did vote for Jason though.

Reviewing previous comments its apparent that either there is a whole bunch of splost supporters that don't understand the basic math of splost or a few very stupid people.

They never debate the facts. They would have you support splost because of t-baggers, Jeremy, my dog said it would be the right thing to do and a bunch of other closet Obama clones attack tactics. But never the Facts.

Vote No and save several generations of our town people this greedy special interest tax burden.

"If SPLOST VII does not pass,
but the city’s bond debt must
be paid. He said the worstcase
scenario probably would
be another 35-percent increase
in water-sewer user"
fees."
“I don’t see that happening,”
DeLoughy added.
“There are other ways of addressing
it.”

CUT GOVERMENT SPENDING.

As if to prove my point above about the same person posting under multiple names, we have this last flurry of comments - all within a few minutes. Give it a rest, Jeremy. You're just repeating yourself and looking foolish.

Let's see.

Life as we know it in St.Marys is threatened by the real estate cartel, RINO's, and, now, "closet Obama clones."

Are there any other malignant forces we should be looking out for, Jeremy? Could it be...SATAN?

The number 1 closet Obama clone has spoken. Mr. tax and spend Moreno. You hit the nail right on the head.

If it wasn't for the real estate cartel getting their way with the 44 million water/sewer plant we would not be having this splost 7 conversation.

"Splost VI funded the following Woodbine projects: Central Office Complex, courthouse parking, Emergency Operations Center, Fire stations, heavy equipment, jail expansion and other initiatives."

Those were all Camden County projects.

"Splost VII will be targeted towards Woodbine's roads, bridges, sidewalks, water and sewer, drainage and flood mitigation, expansion of the waterfront, the downtown area, Riverwalk, recreation facilities, equipment, vehicles and land acquisition."

As I said, Woodbine will not be able to do any capital improvements, nor will the county, but day to day operations will be just fine.

Kingsland's proposed project list for SPLOST VII includes:

Machinery and Equipment Loader with quick attachment
Road construction
Road repair/resurfacing
Sidewalk repair/resurfacing
Water and Sewer

Also as I said, I wasn't aware of how the SPLOST7 would affect Kingsland.

Grand Total:$16,639,629

"They will vote YES to VII. If you vote "No" remember to take your laptop with you so that you can stay on Topix while you're bottomed-out in a pothole on your own street."

I'm willing to take that risk.

If your going to keep repeating this non-sense you can at least itemize each example with cost and who received the contracts.

Grand Total:$16,639,629? Where did the majority of splost 6 revenue go?

Vote Yes 2 Fair tax

SPLOST the Fair tax. Everyone pays. Even those who wiggle their way out of income taxes. Those who don't pay property taxes. Those who are on welfare. Those who don't even live here but pass through and stop to buy something. Some who are against SPLOST advocate doing away with income tax to replace it with what? A consumption based tax just like SPLOST. If there is such a thing as a fair tax it is SPLOST or a consumption based tax. Vote YES for SPLOST. I have !!! Don't be fooled by a few who live to be against everything !

The most corrupt special interest tax that screws EVERYBODY. A tax that did not replace or lower any other TAX. Just an ADDITIONAL Tax by the government that steals millions from the community. Vote SPLOST DOWN just like T-SPLOST . Do your part to stop waste and fraud in Government.

Actually, SPLOST is a regressive tax, as are all sales taxes.

Don't confuse "a fair tax" with "THE Fair Tax." Two VERY differnet animals. Buy the book on Amazon. Cheap.

I'm for SPLOST and "The Fair Tax."
