How can our Sheriff fire these people, hard working people, dependable stand up people and yet still have ones in office/jail/patrol that has been PROVEN to be WRONG.(fact: he has two working at the jail right now still, that has allowed an inmate to communicate on the telephone while at the hospital under the supervision of an officer. One black female officer then once again with a white male officer, hell the male officer had to be woke by the nurse at the hospital. And this was documented at the jail. Same thing goes for the patrol "officer register" I believe it was, Tommy should of let them all go but did he? NO!) How does this happen? I, would actually like to know how he decides who to keep or not? Is it just a flip of a coin, seems like it! How does one sign up to be on the good side of the Sheriff verses the bad? Because simply doing your job, and standing your ground doesn't work.

Mr Blackwell was one of the best officers that jail had. Mr B will be missed and I find it unprofessional / or maybe a little disrespectful for our sheriff to throw Blackwell under the bus the way he did to have a " haha" moment at Bob Godley. I would expect more from some one who claim he was going to return the sheriff office to it's prior high standards. This letter in the paper was not a wise decision. Shows no class.

I too, know and worked with Mr. Blackwell. WE truly lost AN AWESOME OFFICER. WE will not find many that actually like working at the jail and can handle it. Then again, Tommy Gregory did say he would fire everyone and start over if needed, I guess that is one statement of his that is turning out to be TRUE!
