Is anyone else being plagued with these calls? We are getting up to 5 per week. They are always from different telephone numbers and area codes. They always offer a number to push to not receive future calls and of course it doesn't help at all.

We are on the Fed Do Not Call List. That is a joke.

I am very close to signing up to have a guy come and install a system. I would like to force him to cut his own nuts off at gun point. Do you think I could get into trouble?

You wouldn't be a telemarketer would you? Just like a lib-tard, sitting on your butt, making calls for your security system scam. Selling maybe 1 every two weeks, bothering countless people who have tried not to be bothered, and collecting Obama money.

I've been getting calls, also. And I'm darned sick of it.

Talk about issues. Get a real job.

Suppose a woman installer shows up? What bodies parts you going for? How will you do it? Inquiring gun owners want to know.

Whatever you do, do not push the bogus opt-out number. I'll bet you that that is the actual objective of the call. My guess is that if you push it, your next phone bill we be for half of all long distance calls made from Nigeria or some other such scam.

If you have the time and not too busy, here is a good approach.

Spend some time with them, the longer you keep them on the line the better. Give lots of false information to all their questions, false names, address, phone numbers, email address.

Make it up as you go along. After you get them invested with time and effort, ask them to hold on a minute that someone is at the door. Walk away and come back to the phone, but keep them interested and make them think you are giving away personal information. Make it up as you go along. Have fun. After they have filled out all their forms ect. and you can't keep them any longer give them a false, made up VISA number. If they get wise to you and about to hang up, insult them and have a good laugh.

Make a game of it. Always try to beat your last record for keeping the crooks on the line as long as you can.

Just don't answer your phone or get caller id.

Or, you can answer in a foreign language or in a non-comprehensible accent. Tell them you don't have any dogs for sale. Make an order for takeout. Tell them that their number has been matched to the last number that called before a crime at this number. It's all fun. They will eventually stop calling if they think they are dealing with a nutcase.

I've been trying to get in touch with a human every time they call so that I can threaten them and their families and tell them all of the horrible tortures I want to do to them while I pleasure myself. Hopefully that will make them stop calling. They interrupt important business calls on my cell phone almost daily. Unacceptable. They can't charge me with threats because I'll sue right back for harassment and my cell phone bill and etc etc etc. These fuckers need to get shot.

Tell them very quietly to hold on a minute, you want your spouse to listen. They will adjust their volume to hear you. Then yell out spouse's name as loud as you can into the phone. They cannot quickly remove their amplified headset.

I pushed the number to talk to a rep. After getting a bunch of bogus information from me, he passed me off to a person who explained the systems, options, and costs. I asked a bunch of questions. As she answered, I asked more related questions. By the time they passed me off to a person to schedule the installation, we were 30 minutes into the call. I had the lady wait until I got my calendar and then dallied about a good date to do the install. When I finally picked one, I acted like my wife got my attention to tell me I had to take her to the doctor that day.

Finally, 43 minutes into the call, said to her, "Do you promise not to get angry with me if I tell you something?"

She said, "i won't get angry."

I said, "I have been leading you on. I just like to talk to someone, anyone. I don't want a security system."

I haven't gotten one call since. 45 minutes invested. problem solved.

Telemarketing has to be stopped. Hanging up on them does not work, yelling at them does not work, writing long diatribes on line does not work.
I love talking to telemarketers, I try to keep them on the phone as long as possible. I start doing the dishes, cooking, cleaning my house. That way they are not wasting my time. I pretend I am interested in their products, they won't hang up if they thing there is a possibility of making a buck. I have talked to some for over an hour! I got lots done. I like to think I am saving hundreds of other people from getting a phone call from them because they are talking to me.
It is important for us to waste their time, because that is the only weapon we have against them. If enough people did this they could not stay in business. They would not be able to find the suckers amoungst the people like me. Don't do them the favor of swearing at them or hanging up. That is how they screen people They rely on people cursing an hanging up. Waste their time and end telemarketing forever.
The people that call are from call centers, they feed leads to the businesses. When I pretend to sign up for their services maybe the businesses have to pay a fee for the lead. So we can cost them money by pretending to accept the service. This is the only thing they understand, if telemarketing wasn't profitable they would not do it. People can stop telemarketers simply by talking to them. I make appointments withe alarm companies and they come out and I waste even more of their time.
So much so that they have put me on the do not call list.

Here's what I now do, and I suggest that those able and willing will do the same: I "push 1" or do whatever I have to to speak to a "live person", then I loudly call them every four letter word I can think of until they hang up. They want to annoy me? I'll annoy them. Cursing them at the top of my lungs (or loudly blowing a whistle into the receiver) makes me feel good, and you know what? The calls seem to have decreased, not increased. No one wants to get yelled at, including these losers. If enough of us retaliated in this way, they'd likely quit their jobs or be inclined to remove our numbers from their systems so as to avoid getting yelled at in the future. "No call" means just that.

If I were on your jury I'd acquit you.
