Read this article.

See what responsible actions the citizens and Government took together.

Compare the UK data with the USA data.

Then ask yourself what is more important, my possessions or the lives of your children, family, friends and fellow citizens.

Here is the start of the article:

If anyone understands the pain suffered in Newtown, itís the people of Dunblane, Scotland. Unbelievably, the intense horror we witnessed at Sandy Hook Elementary on Friday was the same violent end a class of five and six year olds met nearly 17 years ago.

On March 13, 1996, Thomas Hamilton (born Thomas Watt, Jr.) went to Dunblane Primary School, cut the telephone wire, and shot and killed 16 children and one adult, wounding 17 others, before committing suicide.

The 43 year old fired two 9 mm Browning HP pistols and two Smith & Wesson M19 .357 Magnum revolvers, all legally held, according to BBC News. Hamilton was carrying 743 cartridges and fired his weapons 109 times.

Some people in the U.S. think we can better protect our children by arming teachers, by adding more guns. The United Kingdom thought differently.

Simple solution: Renounce your U.S. citizenship and move to Scotland. Or, perhaps you would feel safer in Australia where they not only banned weapons but confiscated them.

I'll take my chances in the U.S.A., thank you.

A very Republican thing to do no doubt.

Actually, I'm surprised Republicans in Congress have not demanded the State Department issue a travel advisory stating insufficient weaponry to place children at sufficient risk of bodily harm.

Gun control NOW is the bottom line for intelligent adults from all sides of the isle! Possessions are NOT more important than our children and families.

Turn-in or confiscation of most weapons, all automatic/semi-automatic/milit ary styled, steep annual weapons safety fee for any type weapon kept at home and not in an approved armory, high-tech in all weapons manufacturing, actual 2-piece trigger locks, etc. It can all be done, we are the majority and we have the votes. Get involved and help fix this crisis.

Sounds about right Mavlous.

Read somewhere last week that the government is going to sell the GM stock they are holding. Seems we bought it for $53 per share and it is now selling for $23. The taxpayers are going to take another beating.

Our rights guaranteed by the Constitution are more precious than your or anyone else's life. That is why so many good men have been willing to die to preserve them.

I assume you would be willing to be the first one through the door each time a gun is to be confiscated? How many attempts do you think you would live through? Are you really trying to start a Civil War? It sounds like it.

Thank you for posting this awesome article! Hopefully our country can find the will to do the right thing as well. These are terrible times and the guns today are nowhere near what our forefathers envisioned - and everyone knows it. God bless you.

I hardly think a gun ban will occur in the US. Like one person said above, if you do not like our Constitution, move to Scotland or any other socialist/communist state and see how you like it.

Bet you'd never thought women would vote either, hun? Ditto for blacks being counted as whole persons, right? Shall I go on?

Scotland has, percentage wise, virtually zero gun killings per year. The USA on the other hand, what, 30K per year? Some ridiculously number. It's time to get guns out of private homes and into armory storage or destroyed.

Lastly, Scotland is not a socialist or communist state. It's beautiful. Get out of Georgia and you'll find a big world not swimming in guns and gun deaths.

Yet another crazy gun story that fortunately did not end in a fatality.

Man with expired concealed permit goes to movie. Gun drops to floor. Found by school kid next day. Police say, "it was a small, semi-automatic weapon with a round in the chamber and the safety off." How nice.

Get RID of these guns all around us! Guns kill!
