I've lived here three years and have noticed we only get 50-100 kids on Halloween. Most of the houses on our street keep their lights off. Why is this? Is Halloween dead in Alton?

I don't mean the day of the parade, but the official day for trick-or-treating (the 30th his year).

ever since all those kids were murdered by a knife-wielding maniac, halloween has never been the same in alton.
