Very true but what about an emergency? Also , Utility companies need to access these from time to time. Usually to pump them out to work on phone lines etc. There is infastructure in these manhole most people would never realize.

Lil White Boy & Dr. C Funk need to understand that when your walking through a store and see a red rubber bag with a hose hanging from it, you don't point and say look at that red thing. It doesn't matter the color, it's still a douche bag.

Since we pay these dregs of society to have as many kids as possible, we'll never see an end to this type of stupidity. Somebody needs to clamp down on the chosen ones who run the scrap yards and the pawn shops, and for that matter, the banks who launder the drug money. Go after the buyer for possessing stolen property.

Why steal the manhole cover without the manhole, you need both to be functional.
I had some post holes stolen a few years ago. Thought I found one, but the city said it was theirs, and they were going to put a stop sign in it. It still looked just like mine though.

Any scrap yard that accepts manhole covers for cash should be fined. This is a public safety issue. http://www.urbansafetysolutions.com

If it isn't tied down they'll steal it.
