I spoke with them one day last week and he said that things had started going faster, but still no check. I spoke with NJ attorney also and he said we would receive the final check within 2 weeks.

I'm sure things will pick-up for everyone. I get the feeling that after a month of them sitting on our money "the powers that be" start to wonder what's going on. I don't think these law firms want the authorities snooping around too much!

I've written before but only once. I'm so happy for everyone who is getting their checks. You've all gone through so much.

I was wondering if there will be any more meetings and if so when. Also, was the October meeting results posted. I wasn't able to find them if they were.

I'm a stroke victim and received notification of my points about a month ago. Just waiting for first check but it appears it will be a long time coming.

Just wanted to ask all who have gotten there checks / recap if they had to pay the " shared cost" also because ours was just short of 10000$ and i thought the sum was a littlr " high " and i just wanted to know if some one out there also had a simular sum to pay

That sounds outrageous.
The only deductions should be 32% attorney fee, 1% MDL cost assessment, any liens if applicable and your attorney costs and expenses. Just for example; our total attorney costs and expenses were under $2K w/$408.00 showing itemized as "common costs."

I would demand an explanation and itemized accounting of every penny they deduct. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Did you mean 10 thousand dollars?if it is thats more than a little high,it's outrageous.My total expense was 775.00,thats it.If it that high for you I'd be demanding a itemized statement and forwarding it to Judge Fallon.You're being raped without a kiss.Don't be passive about that,it's your money .Best wishes.

Bev, we too are stroke. We now get to play the waiting game. The October meeting was just a lot of HOT AIR! Nothing of value to us, just a lot of praise for the crazy lawyers!
There will not be one in November as I understand it!
