I don't think we're "panicky parents" My son goes to CW West and was sent home sick with a 102.4 fever and was out for a week, then went back the following Monday and was sick again by that Thursday. If nothing else the school will be really clean, it will be a wake up call to us and they will all be healthy when they come back after r&r for a week. I think the school did right by following the PADOH's recommendation. They are the experts after all.

The school nurse informed other faculty at a meeting 2 weeks ago about the fourth graders. Glad to see it was taken care of in a timely manner.

"concerned teacher," did you really expect anything different? From what I know about the situation, an email was sent to staff saying that it was not swine flu...and the super told wfmz he knew that it was probably BEFORE the email was sent. Sounds like a breakdown in communication. It will be in East and the MS by Monday, if it isn't there already.

Once again, CW has covered this up. Just like the bomb scare incident in June 07 when Dr Adams got suspended for not calling the police and hiding the devices in the office

what is everyone so upset about? its like the normal flu so relax. did your kids have the flu this winter? if not they are just getting it now. do you freak out when they get the flu everytime? the only way people are dying is if they have severe illnesses/diseases already that cause complications. the normal flu does the same thing...over 35,000 people die every year from the flu in the US, you just don't hear about it as its a normal process that the Health Bureau doesn't publish...ask your nursing homes every winter how many elderly die each year when they get the yearly flu....quite alot...so chill out as you are worrying for nothing

This cannot be, it is impossible. Why Obama "the liar" clearly told us we have zero to fear, it's nothing, and they are on top of it. 100 days in office and already we are treated to a view of one of the worse presidents in our history. The best although sad part ofr America is that this chicago thug will continue to destroy this country as he tries to force his demented twisted socialistic desires down the taxpayers throats.

But Bill, there is really nothing to worry about. The media hyped this up. Just like the other poster said- we have flu's every winter. This past February I had a flu like I've never had before. It was called the Norwalk virus I believe. I thought I was going to die.......Behave yourself Bill :)

How is your son doing? Is he getting better? Believe it or not(I'm a mom too) I've been thinking about him and hoping he's better by now.
