So much stupidity on this forum.
First, the judge sentences based on a plea bargain negotiated by the district attorney's office. The D.A. routinely consults with the victims during negotiations.
Second, there were three people involved in this situation. Two of them broke into the store and took the guns. This guy was a driver who apparently didn't enter the building.
Third, judges are restricted in sentencing by state sentencing guidelines, set by the legislature. If they go outside the guidelines, the sentence is subject to appeal.
Fourth, sentencing this guy now gives the D.A. additional leverage against the other juvenile and the adult involved.
You legal experts should go watch another episode of Judge Judy or Law and Order.
Stupidity is this comment & the law & thats what is stupidity!!!

<quoted text> I'll open my mind if you go get one. I'll drivecthe car and wait for you to break in and steal one. Stop handgun manufacture. Lets see, no guns manufactured, no morons to break in and take them...brilliant. Oh, hunting with SEMI-automatic weapons is already restricted in PA. Uh, I use handgun to HUNT. Crawl back into the hole you came from and start thinking. Not one gun in that store left on its own and not one gun in that store moved on its own. You make me sick with your making of liberal, dumbass coentary when those who committed the crime are responsible for their own actions. I guess you are not responsible for how dumb a retort you offered...your parents are for not supporting aborton of an obviously flawed fetus. I think we should stop manufacturing condoms...Jeezzzz
Chatty, shut up. I was being sarcastic. Good attack on my parents, Kinda fourth grade. Point is on guns, there is no control, will never be any control, and it's sad. Sure the kid stole the guns, but I bet insurance kicked in and bought all of them right back for this vendor to keep selling. I am not a fan of weapons, hunting is a dying tradition, and I don't see the point of manufacturing a million guns a year. Just like cars, why make so many? You mass produce something that isn't in high demand until Democrats raise taxes and cost of guns and ammo. Now everyone is under this spell that we must be armed to ward off the evil democrats. I am far from liberal, far from conservative, so you're wrong there. I gotta argue, it was said that I should go get a mind and you will open yours. Well, I have a mind, and the fact that you were angered and scared that it thinks differently than yours is pretty amusing. Typical Drone Culture, fear change and resist those who call it as it is!

here is a solution everyone will whine about. STOP PRODUCING HANDGUNS!!!!!!! Only people who should be armed with handguns are police and registered carriers. There are currently in production, enough guns to arm every man woman and child in the entire world twice over. Why? Because it's a job to manufacture the weapons and we wouldn't want to get rid of jobs? If you're a hunter, you don't need a handgun, you need a rifle, not an automatic, high powered weapon, a single shell shotgun is sufficient if you're any good at hunting. Hell my ancestors hunted with sticks and rocks and they ate pretty well. If you can't kill a deer with a single shell shotgun, you shouldn't be in posession of a weapon.
Stop manufacturing guns, stop media glorification of them, stop acting like Charleton Heston was some supreme leader of a revolutionary nation, and get a grip. To the kid who stole the guns, nice work, good effort. To the judge, you're a moron, stop pussyfootin around with our lebanon county criminals. To the people who just find something to say to make themselves feel good, open your mind and look at where the problem starts instead of the end result.
Well, I sure will not shut up, nor listen to your lame "I was being sarcastic" excuse. nothing in your statemtn was sarcasm. It is, in fact, offered as a solution. So no hiding behind BS. Own up to your "mistaken" words.

If you want to solve the problem, support tougher sentences for criminals, teen, juvenile, or the like. And as far as Mr. Heston goes, nice attack on a dead man.

As far as what you are, thats obvious. As far as what I am, I rightly don't give a flying f what you think. I already know you are fundamentally flawed, at least as to thought, likely more. So, on with excusism, down with republicans, and onward dumbocrats. I'll take my fears and live with them. I may be clinging on to as nObama said ...my God and my guns. Best I have to say to him is that neither of those ever failed me. That is a far cry from politicians, who fail us all every day. This is about politics, isn't it?

lmao, uptight much? I don't give excuses, I am the solution. I prove it everyday as anyone in Lebanon would know if they paid attention. Tougher sentences for juveniles, criminals? Look, you want to stop the problem, start at the source, not the end result. Sure sentencing could be tougher, but who are you or me to judge? Run for judge if you believe it is an easy task, put up or shut up is the saying I believe. I am curious to know what it is you believe I am. You say it's obvious, please enlighten me. Clinging to Obama? Wow, pretty sad statement. the guy has failed to produce a result of positive influence in a society of despair. He promised just like every other politician, case in point. " We need to sacrifice, we need to be more responsible with our finances and begin sacrificing if we want our country to succeed", not quite accurate but quoted from an Obama speech. Now here he is taking his wife to Paris, spending tax dollars to be escorted to a burger joint in Virginia for a fifteen dollar burger, oh yeah, way to lead by example Mr. President. Maybe if I give Obama my daughters college fund now, she can get out of paying his debt later. Good call on that there Chatty, your president is already a failure. Don't tell me he is stabilizing the economy, that is easily fixed by itself and didn't need billions pumped out. the banks are already giving money back, that's proof right there that Obama was irresponsible.
Republicans, worthless. All they care about is making sure the Democrats look bad in the future so they can get some control back over the country.
Don't sit here and try ripping into me Chatty, any day you want to sit face to face and discuss your issues, let me know, I will be door to door campaigning in the near months in Lebanon City as I prepare for a run at city council. Where, yes, I will enforce tougher activity by police in our city to ensure that the gun activity that has been happening by criminals is quelled quickly. What the judges do from there is their decisions, and unless you're running for judge, and doing something about problems instead of the complaining you do on the internet, than I guess we keep watching failed judicial systems at work, eh?

HAHA!!! In with the racism again!!!! I believe she is saying the slogan that I have heard every person who is against Obama say and that is NO BAMA, not a prefix added to be an acronym for the "N Word". And to those who thought it was a racially derogatory remark is the perfect example of NOT being open minded!

The "N" is not what you say...its actually stolen from a no-bama bumper sticker... I do not use the n word as you likely mean. And as for the f bomb...yep, that means exactly what you think.

By the way, if you have so much trouble intrepreting what I say, how could you ever be good/effective on city council? Never mind. Its just me thinking outloud. I am sure you will do just fine and wish you luck. At least you have an opinion.

I think there is a very good possibility that the boy or his parents had connections with someone in the system who did him a favor for whatever reason. I know first hand how corrupt the system is in Lebanon County. Because of the connections my son's paternal grandfather, Donald Wasko, from Richland, had with the judges I was forced to send my son on overnight visits with a pedophile, Robert (Bob) Wasko, for almost 5 years as the abuse continued. Donald Wasko even boldly to me,'Your not going to get anywhere because I know all the judges.' Judge Tylwalk denied this in court; Judge Tylwalk is lying and I have the proof. Every time we went to court to protect my son the judge would either disregard or not allow strong evidence in court that, by rules of the court, should have been used to protect my son. I am not afraid to speak out because everything I am saying is true. To learn more about this outrageous case watch my You Tube video titled,'Mother and Son Exiled From the USA.' Direct link:

The good people need to come together and stop the 'good old boys network' in Lebanon County. It is time that real justice is served to the corrupt people in the system. Lets not stop now.

This is really sad. If they hadn't got caught, those guns would have been all over the place. I'm surprised, this "kid" got off with such a light sentence. I don't think it's racist by stating if he was Latino what would have happened. It's the truth - if this was in Harrisburg and this young man was African American, he would have been sentenced to 99 years and one dark night - regardless of whether he had a record or not. Moving on, this wasn't the only charge he had either. He has a felony where he stole over 5,000 as well - plus he is a dead beat dad. Hopefully, he will violate his probation and get the time that he truly deserves.

Ahhh, but local shoplifters and DUI convicts ARE getting their (longer) actual jail sentences.
(as they should).

I'm afraid this is not this teen's last appearance in court... on in the police/court log.
Enablers, shame on you.

BTW...
