Huron Murder Victim's Name Released

Authorities have released the name of the victim in a Huron murder. The victim is 20-year-old Brittney Chua of Woonsocket.

think about both sides of the families! who is to say that shannon is the one that killed her? he could be in custody cuz he was the last KNOWN person that seen her alive, and they dont know of anyone else that was with her that night.

She is an awesome girl and didn't deserve this at all. If what I have been hearing is true, it's uncalled for, shouldn't do things like this to others for your mistakes. I also would like to know who was all involved with this, it's clear that it wasn't just Flowers.

I don't care what the rumers are and that is just what they are. No human deserves that. I hope the family can get through this cause it is a devistating thing to deal with. Our prayers are with all who loved her.

As of Monday night, the news said Shannon has admitted to the crime. The person involved was called in the middle of the night to 'move stuff at the shop', where he was asked to help dispose of the body and burn evidence, which he did. Two days later, he informed police about the incident. A customer's van was used to transport the body to the compost site. Shannon attempted to hang himself before the arrest.

We had several dealings with Shannon over the last two years and are simply in shock about this. You always say this at a time like this, but he was the last person I would think could get tangled up like this.

I do not know anything about the victim, or very little. So many lives are affected here, it is really a terrible thing.

No, no one has committed suicide. The killer was standing on a ladder with a rope around his neck when police moved in to arrest him. But the police were able to talk him down after about 45 minutes.
But no, it is impossible to make any sense of this whatsoever.

I hope the defense puts forth a heat of the moment or passion killing defense. If this goes to the jury I think that the Huron jury might come in favor of second degree instead of first degree murder. He might have been insane when he did it, perhaps she was blackmailing him, or threatening to tell his wife. Flowers wife is disabled, and much older than he is. He has a teenage son.Flowers was well liked in town and people can to him to have their cars checked whenever they wanted to purchase a vehicle.Had a fully paid for home, and who knows if Brittany was trying to get money out of him?He has a shot at life in prison if the prosecution goes for a lower charge. First degree seems harsh when the community is buying into a momentary lapse of reason defense.

What was she like?
Why was she in Woonssocket?
Why was she living with her father?
What was her husband like? Was she separated? What was she doing with Shannon? He was married to an older woman, didn't she know that? Did she graduate from high school? Is she an illegal ? What type of girl was she like?
I knew Shannon and this is hitting Huron like a tons of bricks. If he confessed, he confessed, but was she the type of person to perhaps over play her hand?

The only thing I can help you with is the illegal question. She was not. She grew up in Huron, and is most definately caucasion. A guy I know knew her when she was a little kid, and it sounds like she was a farm kid.

As far as the confession, the papers reported that and that he planned it. If that is true, he is in a lot of trouble. As I said, we knew him well (while not for more than two years, and would consider him a friend).

I don't think he'll get second degree, but that is just my opinion.

Why haven't the papers or the news put in Brittany's maiden name? IT WAS BRITTANY ALDRICH. My daughter knew her in school and she was a very nice girl. Doesn't matter who or what she was about, NO BODY DESERVED TO DIE LIKE THAT! Now her babies don't have a Mommy, They didn't deserve that either! Shannon cheated on his wife, got Britt pregnant and obviously couldn't live with that hanging over his head. HANG HIM!!! How many other cheaters out there that are capable of the same thing?
