School admin member found w/PORN...yet still employed

Can someone please clear up some bits 'n pieces I have? Is the Smyer principal/superintendent the same individual who was found with pornography on his computer while employed with Wolfforth ISD?

I guess that is the kind of leaders we have for our kids now days. The high school principal in Tahoka got a DWI back in April in Sweetwater. They renewed his contract and he will probably get a raise. What great role models!
Mommy, when I grow up, I want to be a high school principal/superintendent someday because they can do anything and get by with it!!!

Tahoka High School's Principal Arrested

NewsChannel 11 has learned that Tahoka High School's Principal was recently arrested.

Mitchell Troy Hinds, 42, was arrested April 7th in Sweetwater for Driving While Intoxicated.

Right now, it is unclear if he was driving a vehicle owned by the school district.

Jill:You have no clue who Mr. Hinds is. You are going through all of these forums and tearing him up any way you can.You DO NOT KNOW HIM. Yeah he made a mistake but don't we all? Just because he is an administrator doesn't mean he has to be perfect.There were no students around him and he was in his own vehicle and it was on a weekend. Mr. Hinds has done great things for Tahoka High School.Also your comment about principals and administrators being able to do whatever they want then get away with it then you are WRONG. You are sounding like you have never made a mistake.If you knew Mr. Hinds then you would re-think your comments you have posted.

It's the world's way of thinking today. We have gotten to the point that no one has to be responsible for their actions! It's okay then, that someone that is suppose to be an example to our children made a choice that could possibly take someone elses life? What if it was your child out on the highway? I don't believe that this is the first time either! What I don't understand is why they even do background checks if it doesn't matter anyway! How can they justify that?

Jill, Like I said before nobody is perfect and if you think you are then your one sick individual. Leave the man alone, Yeah we know that what he did is wrong, and he probably does regret it. Since you know so much; CLEAR UP THE PORN ACCUSATION for everyone. Tahoka actually is a good place to grow up in and your giving administrators a bad rep.

While we're at it, we will also pray for those parents who are not good role models (drugs, boyfriends, girlfriends, affairs,divorces, etc.)and are the closest ones to our kids.
