How do the canyon lakes always have water in them? I have noticed at Buddy Holly park near the north loop a pipe that I estimate to be around 8" in diameter gushing water into the lake. Where does this come from?

its part of a river system if I remember right, its from the brazos river. Also was a little stream before it was a lake ... Lke a natural spring type where the water came through the ground. So there is fresh water always coming in, believe it or not. Thats why it never drys out completely like the rest of the area ponds.
