How well trained are the forensics and CSI authorities for this Carroll County murder that happened two years ago? And there were people in the house while this took place? What is wrong with you people? Apparently the Wolfeboro Police do not know how to report a crime scene correctly. Or perhaps a cop who knew her did this to her and of course this could never be revealed; because police are perfect and would never do an act like this(sarcasm). I cannot fathom the lack of knowledge and training these departments have. Manchester Police would have solved it within a couple weeks. Please put this poor person's soul to rest!

Jim Vittum did it. Ask anyone. Jaime knows, she is afraid to loose her meal ticket. We're all waiting Jim. You have the audasity to say how much you miss the children and love them so? You stole their mother. You will have to answer for what you have done. And to all of Jims "supporters" why don't you set him up with your daughter or sister? Yeah, that's what I thought.....

Back in Oct. of 09 both lead detective Roland and Jamie spent hours in front of a grand jury. Seems consistant w/ Vittum saying "you have to look at me,you have to clear me I'm his reasonable doubt!"

A very informative article. I had previously wondered why the name of Burns was not included in the DOJ Cold Case Unit list.

The wheels ARE turning, just patheticly slow.I wonder, If we believe ANYTHING Stacey has added to this (her murder) then She was abused and so were the kid's, does a brutal murderer like this become less dangerous after he kills his woman? According to Brad Garrett the FBI ace this was an angry man "perticularly about the head, neck, throat and face""very personal, very angry" Has this killer become a nice guy or are those 5 kid's in grave danger! Does Streltzin care?

Stacey's brother said over a year ago "We believe the children's father is not the killer" guess that's good enough. Kinda contradicts the AAG saying on 5 occasions "public not in danger" I just saw tonight where a Maine woman missing for 30 yrs. was found in the prime suspects freezer, the cop's had to wait till he died to even look. Confidence buliding for sure.

When was the last time we all heard of a woman's murder solved in NE other than in Mount Vernon? Good work there guys, the daughter is the most couragious of all.
There are more than 100 unsolved murders of women in NH and VT and the cold case bucket is getting deeper.
Time for a change in tactic and protocol in crimes against wome--sorry if I sound sexist but ladies we are all we have--look out for one and other!
Dont judge a missing or murdered woman buy the company she keeps, what she wears or how she lived. Someone needs to take a closer look from another vantage point.
$$$ arent going to solve these cases--caring and a new approach to the crime is needed NOW. Hidden information may be necesary but it doesnt get the killer off the street- obviously. Oh and yes I would be happy to take a crack at it-I'm scared enough with a vested interest--my life.

There seems to be some question weather or not L.E connected to this case have 'leaked' information to anyone outside the case.ABC reported that "efforts to contact law enforcement concerning this case have been unsuccessful". As someone that was interviewed by Mr. Quinonis I can tell you that is false.Information concerning phone records, wounds, and timelines known only by L.E are OUT THERE. One such timeline was 'changed' to for what ever reason give the viewer a false conclution. If we are to accept that this case is NOT going to be resolved anytime soon it is important the whole truth be known. There is an effort by an accomplished author to report what is known about this case. However the reluctance by many to cooperate has made this difficult. Please if you can help contact Albert 'duke' Southard at Duke Southard .com. Thank you. This ain't going away !!!

If it hasn't gone cold whats new!! I think the public should know something instead of being on edge! Theres been quite a few murders around New Hampshire lately and they've been solved quite quickly. This ones gone on for 2 yrs! Don't get it! I didn't know her but from all thats been on this thread i still think it was somebody nobody knew about! That she promised not to say anything!
When she broke it off with him he got pissed off
when she started seeing other people. Just a thought cause theres been alot of them! Like someone said a cop or any town offical for that matter. I know it had to be someone with a very bad temper from the manner in which she was murdered! Like the FBI said it was over kill!!!

can anyone name a murdered woman who's murder has been solved in the last year? Other than the unfortunate woman and her child in mount vernon.

Has a profile of Stacy's killer been established?

The AAG has told us on several occasions "the public is not in danger" OK, That is code for 'we know who it is. The fbi also said "the forensics won't change" that is code for 'we don't think were good enough to prove a circumstantial case'.PS please STOP trashing the victim.

I'll give you a profile, The unsub will have a history of violence, mental problems, drug and alcohol issues and a violent childhood. This is a socio/psychopath that knew the victim had a knowledge of the crime scene and time to plan his attack.I would look for someone on a downward spiral, maybe someone who spent alot of time out to sea, detached from reality. The unsub will appear normal to most people but will not have any long term friends. He will be impotent and only aroused by viagra and terrifying his victim.

It's been a while since we have heard anything. "I speak to Steve regularly and know he and his team are working hard to bring Stacey's murderer to justice. we feel blessed bla,bla bla..seasoned investigator bla, bla, bla moving forward when others seem to have lost the stomach, blaaaa". Steven Roland retired a while ago. Is there someone else in Concord with stomach? Are we feeling "blessed" any more ?

I read that too May 3rd on the 'new' fundraiser web-site. I was very surprised to learn that the NH major crimes unit has investigators with weak stomachs. They can handle a dozen glazed but don't expect them to review the crime scene photos at 146 N. main. Did you know those guy's make six fig's ?

I don't think Jim Vittum did it. I have watched his interviews and I do not think he is lying. Ed Burns on the other hand seems nervous. He seems more like a time bomb to me. I use to know Jim Vittum. I didn't think he was the greatest guy around but I have to go with my instinct. i think Ed Burns had something to do with it much more than I'd pin it on Vittum. He'd have to be a real sociopath to remain so calm, candid and believable, and I don't think he's that warped. Ed Burns? He's scary.

If it was Vittum we are to believe that in 24 hrs. he went from a seemingly 'normal' person to a psychopathic killer with no motive except jealousy. And in two hours covered everything up.Remember his car, clothes and home were searched within hours of the murder and he spent 14 hrs. under surveillance. Not to mention a grand jury met, reviewed and apparently cleared him,(he was NOT arrested) all in six months. What was it his ex-wife said,"it's possible but not probable"
