I'll be the first to admit it! I never should have done it! I just couldn't help it! it is a place off limits to and forbidden for J. W. Simms to trespass upon, but curiosity overtook my better judgment and I went there anyway. YES!!! that forbidden place is ( WWW.WITTMANNNEWS.COM ) The article that I was the most interested in was about the railroad and Wittmann. Now not being one to make snap judgments, I studied this article for some time and came away with feelings of shame and disappointment in my very dear and old friend, " elkc " AKA ( Benny Groff ) owner/editor of www.wittmannnews.com . I also came away from the article with a few questions, did my old friend Benny do a turn around on his initial feelings toward the railroad coming into Wittmann? if so why? By his own admission, Mr. Groff, searched the Internet to find a state of the art rail yard to compare to the one supposedly coming into Wittmann , why?. Also, why would my good friend " elkc " give such a glowing commendation to a state of the art rail yard built in Memphis Tennessee? could it be to convince the good people of Wittmann, of all they are missing by not having such a grand and glorious state of the art rail yard in their back yard also? and! if so why? Why would Mr. Groff try to convince the people of this community, how grand and glorious this rail yard will be? how clean and safe it will be, what with everything being automated and cameras and finger print machines everywhere, how could you go wrong by having one next to your school?

J. W. Simms can't help but wonder, is his old friend " elkc " owner/editor of www.wittmannnews.com the artist commissioned by the BNSF railroad to paint this Rosy and beautiful picture and to assist in the promotion of this grand and glorious state of the art monument, to be built by the BNSF railroad for the benefit of and in honor of the good people of Wittmann.

PS: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but NEVER!! bet on which one will stab you in the back first, but you CAN!! bet that one of them eventually will. J. W. Simms.

If you want to know just how beautiful the "State of the Art" Memphis Yard is going to look like...just drive down Grand Ave. from Olive to 35th Ave. The stacking cranes are awesome. In fact...it's one of those "must see" attractions I take friends to when they come from out of town. I have the good fortune to work in the area and I get to see it every day on the way to work. I'm just thrilled to know I will be able to view such simular beauty when I return home from work. A turd by any other name is still just a turd.

Before I happened upon the article, Rail Yards And Wittmann, written by Mr. Benjamin Groff Owner/Editor of www.wittmannnews.com I couldnít have cared less about what happened in Wittmann or Rail Yards, even though I live in the general vicinity of Wittmann. After reading the article, once again curiosity got the better of me and I decided to snoop around the old Internet a little myself, just to see what I could learn about Freight Trains, Rail Yards and Industrial complexes, also known as employment districts. I found an enormous amount of information and also, I came upon a few obscure little web sites that I havenít been able to find again, due to the fact that the further I probed the more unstable my computer became until finely it crashed and I received the blue screen of death. I know! Some of you are thinking, do it again! Ainít gonna happen. At any rate it seems, according to these web sites, that BNSF has considerably more motivation for putting a rail yard in Wittmann than just hauling freight for big box stores. That motivation being ď Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station ď in Buckeye, Az. The freight being, spent radioactive fuel rods bound for the jet propulsion laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and other hazardous waste bound for God only knows where. Let me emphasize that there is no way to know if any of this is true, or just speculation, but it begins to make sense the further you go. For instance why the building ban in Wittmann? Limit the population, limit the liability. Why the huge push for the F-35íS at Luke Field? Maximum security for Palo Verde and BNSF. Why would BNSF need a multimillion dollar state of the art facility with an ultimate security system in place, to ship common freight to and from a little hick town like Wittmann? Indeed. Also why put this shit in Wittmann in the first place? Anybody who has attended any of the meetings of the county supervisors, or Surprise, city counsel, has had to come away with the feeling, that these two Governments believe the town of Wittmann and itís people are expendable should shit go wrong. Remember that old hag Joan Shaffer? How did she make you feel at those meetings?

Now I myself, do not believe that BNSF will be shipping spent fuel rods to Los Alamos, The birth place of the Atomic Bomb. I do believe how ever, that it is plausible that they could be planning on shipping this shit some place else first for reprocessing and then on to Los Alamos, Ill tell you why. It was mentioned in one of the now missing web sites, the jet propulsion laboratory in Los Alamos is working on a nuclear propulsion system for NASA to replace those antiquated humongous liquid hydrogen fuel tanks, that takes enriched uranium my friend. Although not verifiable I find this too is plausible due to the fact that NASA is in the process of retiring its entire fleet of current space shuttles. New space craft could mean nuclear propulsion, where better to get the raw materials for this undertaking, than from the largest nuclear power plant in the nation? Shipped right out of good old Wittmann, Arizona. My question is, will Wittmann be the next Three Mile Island, Love Canal or Chernobyl ? J. W. Simms.

jw, I know you are usually on the paranoid side, but dang you sure do make this all make sense. If your snooping and research has some thruth and some sustanance, you sure do put a puzzle together. Yikes! is what I say if only a shred of what you state is true. Really hope youre wrong on this one... cause your scenario is frightening. One thing though, there are no building ban is wittmann.. permits have always been slow out here...People are still building.. seen several new ones... Only ones not building are the large subdivisions and they all went broke.... not banned.

You really need to go back through previous post and news articles concerning the moratorium on building permits in and around Wittmann. There was a time not too far back, when you couldn't even pay one of those assholes down at planning & zoning, under the table for a permit to build a tool shed. While you're at it, go back through and read the same bullshit! we heard at the meetings for " BNSF " from LaTonya Finch, spokeswoman for " BNSF " She states! there will be no off loading or storing of ( hazardous ) materials at this site. There is no mention whatsoever of on loading and shipping of ( hazardous ) materials from! this site. Also when was the last time you heard the " Truth " from a corporate representative? For Christ sake, your own Government won't even afford you that! courtesy. J. W. Simms, Esquire.

Some people are so afraid of this kind of shit, that they go into a state of denial and convince themselves that it could never happen to them. That way they can make jokes about it to further ease their fears. I would suggest that you " Hosses Ass " are one of these people whom are very much afraid. Trust me, if you live in Wittmann, it can and very well may happen! to you. J. W. Simms.

Hey, JW, I did just a little bit of looking for some of the info on the BNSF and wittmann etc... found some sites that look like they are right up your alley... I was a little to scared to log into them though... seems the govs may be recording some of the things on there. I did however, find a pretty cool picture of a train stopped at the 'wittmann' sign... If someone can post some sites about this stuff, or if Elko is following any of this ( which by the way has done a real nice job on the Wittmann news thing)... then help some of us poor 'not so technologically adept' folks get involved and educated.
