No worse than anywhere else here in the valley. Possibly better due to no industry

My biggest complaint about Sun City is that the residents are the biggest cheepskates on the planet and hire illegal immigrants to do any work on their homes or yards. They rather risk paying a low price to have work done by an illegal, unlicensed worker, than pay an American licensed contractor to do the work. They have no loyalty to the workers of this Country and the bottom line is all that matters. But then they're the first to complain when they've been ripped off or their homes broken into by the illegals they hire. Come on Sun City Residents, start supporting this Country and it's workers that has made it possible for you to retire in leisure.

You speak about very few in Sun City. If they are illegal they don't last too long here

Listen you pompous fool, we have been the working people of America. We have, in some cases I know about, been the people who defended the country when asked and the people who built the industry and unions. We are the people who have done out part and don't need some flea brained moron such as yourself disrespecting your elders and betters. Back to the middle school, junior, we respect the law around here and the law does not require us to harass anyone who wants to work about their migrations status and they don't have any duty to tell us. Maybe when you are old enough to live here you will understand all that better than you do now.

No.. you twitt..I'm probably older than you. I'm a business owner, probably paid more taxes than you, and paying into your medicare and your Social Security you freakin tightass. Most of the skin flint Seniors from Sun City want everything for nothing and are the first ones to bitch when they get ripped off. I'm so sick of people from Sun City people groveling for their "Senior Discount This and Senior Discount That." I think you better get on your knees and pray that the "True Americans" can work and pay into your Social Security and your Medicare because the illegal workers that you seem so fond of is NOT paying into it. The only thing you old farts are good for is a good estate sale when you kick the bucket.

So what?
You payed some taxes and you are think that makes you more of a "true American" than anyone else. Fool. Don't you know after all the way things work in this country. You can go whine to yourself all you want, I'm not interested. You always know that a guy has lost the argument when he starts raving about "true Americans" which somehow always includes the bellyacher. This true American has to turn in because he has to get up early to go to his free doctor's appointment and pick up his free drugs before he goes off to play bowls. While I'm at it I plan of breathing some free air. Thanks a lot, sucker.

The mexican labor force does show up on time and they are workers and they show up any "licensed" labor.

When you try and call to set up appointments for repairs or any other work, you are lucky to get anyone to answer a phone anymore. You leave message after message and you are lucky if you get one call back.

In the meantime, while I am trying to get estimates from "licensed" contractors and hoping for a call back, the "illegal" workforce has already completed the work and for a much lower price and without the hassles of getting ripped off by "licensed" contractors.

I don't support illegal labor, but they do embarrass and run circles around many "licensed" contractors!!

Yes, you either get ripped off by some licensed contractor that calls you back when he wants, and makes you feel as if HE is doing you a favor. Or you can get treated right by someone who appreciates your business, is willing to work as long and as hard as it takes to get the job done without ever complaining, and will be there when he tells you he will be there. I'll take the latter.
Hiring a licensed contractor guarantees you only a couple of things. 1. You will pay a lot more. 2. See number 1. We are in a recession, money is scarce. Ever dollar you save is a dollar for you later. I'm not giving my hard earned bucks away. And that is working fine for me.

Nope, now I have to walk the dog and go play bagpipes. You are free to whine more about your taxes while I'm out.

What? Somebody agreed with me? Egad! What is this world coming to? Ah, yes, that was the other day. I remember now, back in the old days.

The bagpiping went very well.
