Does anyone know why there have helicopters flying over and around Chaparral Rancheros ( 207th Ave & Patten ) all day, every day, it seems??
I am curious. It gets a bit annoying!
Thanks :)

What an interesting question. However I haven't found anyone who knew why helicopters are circling around. The big white chopper appeared to be carrying passengers or have the ability to hold more than a few extra humans. There are two national auto training grounds in the area so that may be leading the all day tours of the area. As long as one doesn’t go in to auto-rotate and end up in my acreage, I care very little. But it does seem to have the curiosity of a number of residents. Perhaps now this thread has started more comments will offer an answer.

Hello, thank you for your reply.:)
It has been nice for the past couple of days. It seems they took some time off. lol I've noticed that they are very interested in the desert just southwest of my home, I am curious to know if it has had anything to do with Luke's Aux. Field?.... |
Those are corporate helicopters PEOPLE!! as in big business, investors, industries, warehouses all the things you don;t want in your back yard. And probably another R J Springer or two. Damn it there goes the rest of MY!!!! desert. They sure as hell are not tourist as Mr. elkc would suggest, most people don't even want to see Wittmann from the ground let alone fly over it sightseeing, does Wittmann look like a tourist attraction to you. As with Springers trash, nothing you can do about it, it's comming. |

Also, urgent flight care from Buckeye responds to most of this area, including Wickenberg, to fly patients to trauma centers, mostly Phoenix, depending on the situation. It's not always a big conspiracy.
|
Shut up stupid ass, urgent care fly in and fly out quickly, they don't circle from one end of the damn place to the other sight seeing when some ones life may be at stake. It is what I say it is, because I'm the smart one here, not you!!!! |

That's what I'm thinking. I've seen the urgent care helicopters and, you're right, they fly in and fly right back out. They don't circle around the area from about 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. |

Oh goody, Mr. Simms. Maybe those investors will buy some of my vacant lots I have out here and run a new freeway through it. I guess you don't own all the desert out here. I also own some at Whispering Ranch if you would like to re-locate.

You have $$$$ signs in your eyes that just aren't there. they will just take it from a dumb ass like you. |

I've done pretty good so far. I must not be too dumb. Did I strike a nerve? Oh, my bad! ;)
|
I generally find that people who brag about how well they are doing really are not doing all that well. Therefor I must surmise that the big boys will take a DUMB ASS!! like you for a ride every time. The answer to your question is no, one would have to have nerves to have them stricken. |
|
Thats right Simms, NOTHING you can do about OUR desert. You ask who would want to live in Wittmann? Gee, have you no windows on your cave? The population in Wittmann is exploding. It is a very desirable area for it large lots, quietness, stargazing, peaceful rural setting. About the only undesirable thing in Wittmann I can think of is YOU! |

Sounds like somebody rode you pretty hard, Simms. |

No, Mr.Simms, I'm not bragging. Just pointing out that I had the foresight to see the potential of areas around Wittmann. Unlike you, I have nerve, and I bought "MY" piece of the desert. I think I've made some pretty good choices for a "dumb ass." Maybe you should try to acquire some nerve and a backbone while you're at it, and try to accomplish something other than trying to get the last word with everyone on a message forum. You're the weak link in the community and you're the one those "Big Boys" will zero in on and take wahtever meager belonging you have.

Interesting remarks. I do know that the Prooving Grounds always have had issues with aircraft while testing vehicles not yet ready for the market. However the way these choppers have been flying it appears more to be test piolits. If you want to see Wittmann from above it dosen't take six hours to do so. Also there are less expensive ways to see down on Wittmann at websites like google earth,or zillow.com , you can take a peak at your land anytime you wish. I do know that Ford-Volvo has produced a documentary from their prooving grounds for media use, and considering the location where I saw the chopper, it could be related to that. This does prove a point many outsiders may have, and that is folks in Wittmann act like they never saw a helicopter before, and just why is everyone so nervous about it? Further more...What exactly defines Wittmann? A 1 mile radius from the Post Office? 2 or 5 miles out? Where do we begin and end?

For someone whom professes to be a former news reporter, you are certainly lacking. Your spelling is atrocious, your grammar is terrible, and your knowledge of MY!! home area is nonexistent. I can easily see why you use the term, FORMER!! reporter. You sir, are no longer fit to edit the pages of a comic book, much less such a grand publication as TOPIX!!. You are now free to pack up your things, load all your stuff in a u haul! and leave this area with the rest of the encrochers whom have invaded this area like so many cockroaches. PS: Please restore your area to the state it was in before you arrived here. Thank you! |

I will admit some days are better than others when it comes to my writing. But it really doesn’t intimidate me that I have not impressed the suggestive few. It does appeal to me that somehow I have managed to raise a response and get the true nature of the type of resident we are trying to improve upon within our community. It's a free country and because of that, we share the right with those, we really are happy to see in this forum and not in public.
|
I had all ready replied to your comments once Mr. ELKC,they didn't seem to go through, gee I wonder why that is? |
|
Nice try Simms. However, I have found elkc's posts to be thought out and filled with much restraint in dealing with such a negative person-YOU. And you of all people to hold someone to a higher degree on grammar. That is a joke Simms. And so are you. As you can see Simms, the cockroaches are here. And when the housing market heats back up, they will be coming in droves. So I suggest to you Simms, if you don't like what you see now, just wait a few years. That should really set you off! Might I suggest you pack your bags and get out? This area will NEVER be like it was, got it? |
