I met Virgil, when he was 16 years old, and was nothing but trouble. His mother was always trying to better him, and took him where ever he wanted to go. He mentioned that his "Dad" abused him. I seen him last year, and acted very weird. How scary to know that I was a good friend of someone as CRAZY as this.

That's so sad -- sad that he did this, and sadder still that this man was abused as a boy and didn't get the help he needed when he was a teenager.

I knew Val (Valenentino)(teen killed) when we were kids growing up in Wittmann. Virgil Sr. yes was an angry man but never violent towards his children. Virgil Sr. was a very nice man. His wife a very gental woman who loved her family very much. Rest in peace Togstad Family including Virgil III you will die in prison where you belong!

He never mention he was abuse. He would say wierd things like the fbi or cia was watching him but we always though he was joking or just messing around. We would tell him to calm down and he would. He always was very respectfull to his Aunts and Uncles and to us his Primos (cousins) we never would of though he do something like this to the whole family. missing you Tia.;(

I JUST heard about this horrible tragedy. I offer no judgements; (that's God's job) but I will say that Val was respectful and an "A" student in my classes. He was one (of many students) I was hoping to hear great things about. I'm so sad. The endless prayers continue...

I knew virgil since we were little little kids and he was never like that at all. He was the best at everything in and out of school. Its so hard to believe that Meth has that much control over some one. Well he's right where he belongs for takin the lives of people that loved him very much.

I knew Val and his Mom.. they were both nice and humble people. I dont understand why Virgil would have done this to his family! but i know that his Mom was trying so hard to make things better for him and i know that she still would have kept doing everything she could for him!! that how much she loved her family... It was sad for us to know that her and Val are no longer with us.. and it was hard for all of the wittmann community on the day of the tragedy:( Val had just gone to visit my kids John and Jesus that night before and i asked him for his mom he had told me that she was sick and for me to go visit her i had told him yea i would go that week-end and here comes Monday when it happpen.
