I know this fire shocked my family and we had and the key word is HAD OLD smoke detectors in our house. We were going to replace them and this was just one of those things that just not ever got done. Well I just want to say THANK YOU to the Wisner Fire Department for going around and putting in smoke alarms in the homes that did not have them. We were one of those recipients. I feel a little safer in my home now. And these wonderful men took time out of their schedules and their home lives to do this. I am just sorry it took something so tragic for this to happen.
