The new Wise Co. Christian School being built on Airport rd. has been damaged supposedly. I heard the recent rain/storms flooded some of the class room floors and destroyed the gym floor. Do they even have enough funding left to redo the brand new gym?

It was friday. One of those wonderful scattered pockets of heavy rain dumped in that area with it not raining just minutes up the road. There was significant damage to classrooms and gym floor. Funding is an issue but something this community will notice, although this is a trial, trials come to everyone."Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." James 1:2-3. We will come out stronger! God is great!

Aren't rain and weather events called "Acts of God"?

Mr. Strange,
" Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 1 Peter 4:12,13"
Sometimes God allows trials to come into your life to strengthen you. But when He brings you through these things, you will experience true "Exceeding Joy"!

Dear WCCS Alum:

"Acts of God" is an insurance term. When it comes to liability insurance Acts of God generally are not covered.

However in this case it's not liability, but property. So if they have the proper property/builders risk coverage the insurance will cover the loss.

Before jumping to conclusions, do some research.

In looking at my 2 posts above, I never used the term "Acts of God". But no matter what term I used, you all would not understand. My heart goes out to you all!

Umm... WCCS Alum, you preached a sermon to someone who used the term "Acts of God."

It's pretty darn clear you thought they were trying to say God did that to your school... no need in trying to cover for yourself.

With that serman preached, I hope you're not one of the teachers at this school WCCS Alum. It is bad enough that there is enough uneducated confused Christians in this area, to also pop out children that are uneducated and confused about Christianity. To claim someone is going to be judged and sent to hell for stating the rain was an "Act of God", just shows that you judged someone yourself, and oh...isnt that against the Bible? Infact if you want to burrow even deeper into the rabbit hole... this site, everyone that uses it if going to go to hell because you are gossiping, which that too is also against God and a Sin! Oh no!
