I was reading our local paper..and noticed some new teachers being hired by the school system. I was disturbed to see one of your new hired teachers on myspace.com in a bikini with a drink in hand, she stated her mood was "stoked"!
Is this what you are going to do for our children?

So everyone that has a picture of themselves in a bikini or likes to have a drink should be denied jobs? If that were the case the US unemployeement rate would be 90%

If a person is going to influence our young children I think they should be a little more cautious when choosing to display their personal choices. As an educated man Mr. Perry should look at these sites before hiring.A teaching position is one that should be held with the highest regard, served with dignity and high moral standards.
As parents we try to keep our children away from alcohol, drugs and teenage pregnancy. So many innocent lives have been taken or destroyed because of bad decisions.I only ask that we teach our children strong values.

A lot of the teachers want to be the students best friends... not the role models they should strive to be. Things have changed. Sometimes I think the teachers should receive a report card with a conduct grade!

Are you freaking serious?? A teacher doesn't live her life in the school. I'm pretty sure she isn't going to wear her bikini to school or have a drink during lunch, dipshit.

Since when does wearing a bikini and having a drink synonymous with not having values? That's a very ignorant statement. You probably hate gay people and black folks too. You probably go to church everyyy Sunday and judge everyone who walks through the door because they aren't like you.

Sorry but your children are going to be exposed to alcohol, drugs, and teenage pregnancy no matter what you do. These things are a part of life, and happen everyday. And just because a teacher might drink in their own personal time, doesn't mean that they will be coming to their work place drunk.

So? People where bikinis to beaches all the time and guess what? You can legally buy and consume alcohol if you're over the age of 21. You expect teachers to be nuns?

a teachers personal life is just that--a personal life. but don't expose it all over the internet for students to see. have a little dignity. some things should be kept personal and private---it all comes down to how much respect you have for yourself...children are gonna be exposed to alcohol and drugs and alot of other things, but don;t make it so easy for them.,

Hmmmm, Curious seems to be concerned about what they see on the internet. There is an old axiom that says..."Better the devil you do know, than the devil you don't". I'm no fan of Facebook and think that leaving a digital footprint is foolish, especially if you are in a position that people scrutinize. I wonder how many teachers photos of far more nefarious activities in their closets? Curious, would you be less offended or concerned if the teacher in question didn't post their picture, because the event still happened, you just didnt' see it? If thats the case, seems that you are just fine with the behavior as long as its out of your gentile sight. Would you feel better if said teacher wore a one piece and was holding a Diet Coke and her mood was "excited" instead of "stoked"? What a pathetic excuse for a concerned citizen you are! Grow up. Just cause you can complain about something doesn't mean its 'Just Cause'. If you don't like it, don't look at her web page.
