Students' promise brings Edwards to Exira High School

A government class project led Presidential Candidate John Edwards to come to Exira High School, as well as a promise of a vote from Exira Senior Lynette Nicholson. via Atlantic News-Telegraph

Yeah, I was a little surprised myself that he actually responded to my email. I'm still receiving political email from John and his people. I'm glad I could do a good thing.

Yeah.....it wasn't really a promise that I'd vote for him. Sure once he showed up I decided to vote for him.....but then he drops out and now I'm voting for Obama because McCain is just another Bush!!!!!!!!!!

I will vote for McCain because Obama doesn't give me any confidence since he has so few votes to back up what he preaches.
That said, though I would have never been likely to vote for Edwards, it is too bad public criticism of him was so harsh. He probably is a good guy and it is a shame people can't forgive another's mistake...particularly when it was none of their business to begin with.
Cool that Edwards responded to you. McCain has done similarly to me after my husband met him while working in his Senate bldg. I like down to earth politicians ;)

That is really cool.

I was a John Edwards supporter, but now that he is out, my vote has gone to Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzalez. I believe they are the real deal and have a platform that John Edwards wishes he could have done, but was restricted within the Democrat party.
