I can't say I buy the dropping him, she would have had to have at least a good 8 or ten feet to cause all those damages. An eight month old is small but not that small and fragile to receive all of those injuries. I still can't believe that a little more than 3 years is the max for a child now that will never be able to completely function on his own.

What was going on when she dropped him, was he flailing in her arms, was he sick, did she not pick him up correctly? There are not enough details to tell what actually happend.

How far did she drop him?! Arms to floor wouldn't have been enough to cause that kind of trauma, I'm not an expert, just halfway intelligent.

41 months?! What is the deal with MN law? You get more time for DUI than for hurting or killing a child. Something needs to be done to change this ridciulous sentencing.

It would be interesting to know more details, but that is pretty severe trauma for falling a few feet.
I could see the broken arm but not "massive head injuries" and "hemorrhages". That sounds like shaken baby syndrome. This poor kid is in really bad shape.

No way can those injuries be the result of "dropping." She must think we are pretty stupid to put forward such a story! Hope she finds "friends" in jail. I am sure there will be plenty of them!

I don't think dropping him a few feet would cause all of those injuries. Poor little guy.

The very least Jennifer could do is to be honest about what happened that day, admit she snapped, and be very remorseful about her actions; but instead she acts cocky, in denial, and unremorseful, and that probably contributed to the length of her sentence. Lucas went to daycare that day healthy, and left life-altered and handicapped. God bless him and his family!

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Sagittarius

It's difficult to keep your mind on what you're doing today because it keeps wandering off in all directions. There won't be much you can do about this except to be aware of it, and preferably to postpone doing anything very complicated or important until you're less distracted and absent-minded. Unfortunately, you won't get very far with it at the moment.
